"It's about time you got here Soo-Yin! We've got an hour." Lu-Shi said as she handed me a strapless red dress. "Put this on and sit down. I was hoping to have a bit more time to get you ready, but I'll make due."
"Okay," I said. I went into Lu-Shi's bathroom and changed into the strapless red dress. I have never worn a strapless dress in my life, ever. I felt weird and a bit self-conscious. I filled out the dress just enough in the chest and it fit perfect everywhere else...but it just felt too revealing. I shook my head and stepped out of Lu-Shi's bathroom and rubbed my eyes with my hands.
"Hey, have you been crying? Do I need to go kick Yoongi's ass? You know I won't hesitate to knock him down a few notches." Lu-Shi said as she made me sit down to do my hair and make-up.
"No, no, you won't need to do that." I replied.
"Alright," Lu-Shi responded as she curled my hair, forming it into a light wavy hairstyle. After a few minutes, Lu-Shi was done with my hair. She then did my makeup for me, she kept everything as natural looking as she could with light foundation and blush. She carefully applied the mascara and eyeliner; I told her I could do that part, but she insisted. Just when I thought she was done, she handed me a tube of bright red lip stain--the same bright red as the dress.
"Lu-Shi! Are you crazy?! I never wear colors like this! It's too bold!" I said, laughing.
"Soo-Yin, come on. Get out of your comfort zone a little." Lu-Shi said insistently as she started changing into her dress for tonight.
