"KIM. SOO. YIN!" I heard Yoongi scream from behind me. I finally stopped dead in my tracks and turned around, breathing heavily.
Yoongi's pace slowed down from a sprint to a steady walk. We had been running for quite some time...I felt exhausted. My chest felt sore and my legs felt numb. My heart fluttered as he got closer to me despite it's already racing rhythm. Once he stood in front of me, he started breathing heavily. His white porcelain skin glistening with a little bit of sweat.
"You know, Soo-Yin, for someone so short.....you sure do run fast." Yoongi said in between breaths. He then chuckled and flashed that gummy smile at me. I could feel my cheeks turning bright red--and I knew it wasn't just from running.
Come on Soo-Yin. I thought to myself. You know what you saw back there. You saw her getting all touchy with Yoongi, coming up behind him and hugging him while he played the piano. She was everything you weren't--beautiful, charming, loaded with money.
"Why did you run after me Yoongi?!" I asked. "When you're the one who told me to stay away from you today...I know I lied and obviously I didn't stay away..."
Yoongi took a few more steps towards me, causing me to step backwards until my back was against the wall. His dark eyes staring into the very pit of my soul. He slammed both of his hands against the wall, trapping me in. I felt as if my heart was going to completely and literally burst out of my chest. His face was inches away from mine, I could smell his cologne--the scent of oak and pine. I swallowed hard as his eyes narrowed.
