The fifteen year old brunette helped her mother putting the meal down on the table, she quickly served her father first before serving her brothers.When both women sat down, everybody started to eat. In the Alston's residence, at every meal time, no one used to talk, for Sebastian it was a time when you needed to be silent to appreciate the food, so everyone followed his philosophy
The peace was quickly ruined by the kids's mother, Emerald, who start talking with her daughter
"So, Stella, are you going to go meet with Rebekah?" She asked still staring at her food
"Yes, mother. Esther asked us if we could pick some herbs close to the river. She needed them for something" the girl answered respectfully
The mother's eyebrow was raised
"If it was me who asked you to do so, you wouldn't have agreed"
No one in the table missed the bitter tone in her voice. Truth to be told, before arriving on the village, mother and daughter were inseparable, very close and each other's confidant and strength. Emerald seems to believe that that changed when Esther came around
The two woman seemed to always fight for the fifteen year old attention. In reality, it was all made up from Emerald's mind, Esther didn't need to fight from Stella because she already had the girl close to her
The Mikaelson was quick to like Stella, the girl had everything that she honors, she's a very patient and outstanding girl with a brilliant mind. She had no doubt of how powerful she will be one day.......
As for the Alston, she knew exactly what Esther was doing. She was trying to show Stella her magic, to awake her daughter's magic. For years, Emerald tried to skip that matter, her daughter still was too young to discover and deal with such strong power
Seeing the tension in Emerald's body, Sebastian cleaned his throat
"Well, be careful, little flower. The river is dangerous" he smiled at her "And don't forget to come back before night settles"
"Yes, father"
They went back to eating, but the thoughts never left Emerald's mind. How could she lose her daughter like that? And to another witch? She wouldn't let that happen
"Me and Cordelia are getting married" Dominic said trying to defuse the tension
Their mother clapped happily before getting up and hugging her oldest son
