I have started a list of things I have always wanted to see and do. In a way it is like a bucket list, but I don't like using that term because it makes me sound old.
I have several things on my list such as...
Graduate
Write A Book
Get My Own Car
See Paris
Get My First Kiss
Some things may or may not happen, it just depends on if God is willing. Today, starts my year long journey with my best friend, and my family. I am going to do everything that I can to make it all of the way, or more. And even if I don't, I know that I will have remembrance of my last year on Earth.
As I park my mothers car, I walk into the school and make my way to my locker. "Hey, April!" I heard a voice say. Of course, it was my best friend Mary. not only was Mary my friend, but she understood what I was going through. Even if she had never had a Brain Tumor. She never treated me differently, and never stopped being my friend because I have a permanent bolder on my back (also known as my cancer). "So what is on your year long agenda?" Mary asked. "Just trying to keep things in my life interesting, and not wasting my precious gift called time." I grabbed my notebook and we headed for Science class. We always sat in the back so Mary and I could sneak small conversations when the teacher wasn't looking. I waited for the buzz of the television to indicate that it was time for the boring morning announcements. But soon, the disgusting lunch menu was interrupted by our teacher. I'm glad I stopped because behind her was a boy. Not just a regular boy. He was tall with green eyes and light brown, almost blonde hair. He was wearing a light blue shirt and jeans with tennis shoes.
I wasn't sure what came over me, but for the rest of the class I couldn't think strait. I didn't know if it was the brain tumor or maybe I liked him. Later that day, I found out two interesting things...
1. His name was Mason Roberts
and
2. I (kind of) liked him.
