Beautiful Music.

Music had brought you two together, time spent had turned this seemingly quiet girl into something else. Something you never expected. What, you might ask, well, let's find out.

Overcast skies, high winds, it was soon to rain, it was that time of year after all. And where were you? Outside walking from your favorite music shop. Y/n had planned on dropping by for a quick look around but spent at least four hours there. Only leaving once the shop owner pointed out the weather and told everyone to leave.

"When did it get so…." You muttered to yourself before hearing another voice. It was soothing, beautiful, hitting high notes with perfection. L/n stopped and looked around, spotting another figure. Their back was turned to your e/c eyes.

With a slim build, short hair, dark purple in color, a little less than five-foot-one. The wind picked up, blowing away the sheet they were holding. Luckily for the owner, you were there to catch it… with your face. Peeling the paper from your face but holding onto it tightly, you quickly scanned it.

It was a music sheet, you read the notes, as much as you could, before finding a name. "Kyoka Jiro."

"Yes?" Glancing from the sheet to the voice that spoke. You nearly jumped out of your skin seeing her there. She's a quiet one, I didn't notice her approaching me at all! What is she, a ninja? "Umm, excuse me, I'll just take back my sheet. Sorry about that… The wind blew it away."

Reaching out, her fingers brushed yours briefly, your s/c skin tingled a bit. "Thanks again, and sorry." As she turned away, you noticed the change in weather. "Damn, I'll never make it home in this." Y/n said to no one, right on cue it started to pour.

It was so bad you couldn't see much. However, you did feel a hand on your wrist, the grip was oddly strong. You tried to pull back but was pulled forward and rushed into a building. The same building Jiro had been standing in front of, most likely for her keys before the wind picked up. Triangular onyx eyes stared into yours, the bottom lashes were longer, pretty.

"It's dangerous to be outside right now." She said while letting go of your wrist. "Oh, right, thank you." There was an awkward silence for a bit. "No problem, you did save my work after all. This is the only copy, losing that would have been horrible."

"I'm happy my face could be of some assistance." Jiro laughed as you gave a serious response but with a grin that looked derpy. Waiting out the storm was your only option, luckily for you Kyoka offered her home. She grabbed you a few towels to help you dry off, sadly there wasn't much for clothing options. Turning up the heat and sitting in front of the fireplace worked though.

In no time you were warm and comfy. Hours went by, the two of you talked, you learned a great deal about each other. Quickly turning from strangers to friends, by nightfall, it felt you two had known each other for years. This kind of connection was rare, L/n hoped it would last.

(Silly reader, you should be careful what you wish for.)

"Sounds like the rain is still coming down."

"Never ending rain, this is crazy but we needed it. I just wish I could go home." Jiro gave you a look. "Not that being here is bad or anything. You're cool! But I bet you'd like to have your own space back too."

A soft hum was heard, and did it sound like the rain stopped too? "No, I don't mind having you here. Having company every once in a while is nice."

"Yeah but it's been four days already." Kyoka didn't reply to this comment, it had actually been five days but that didn't matter. "I hope everyone back home is okay. I'm sure my pets are fine, my landlady takes care of them for me when I'm away. If only I hadn't left my phone."
