I Will Praise The LORD

"Hosanna to the Son of David!"
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"
"Hosanna in the highest!"
             --Matthew 21:9

    Matthew 21:1-11 depicts the Triumphal Entry of Jesus wherein  A very large crowd spread  their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.  [Matt. 21:8] Ito yung tinatawag nating palaspas.

Jesus is riding a donkey that time. [Matt. 21:7] which is a very unusual thing. Kasi di nan sinasakyan ang donkey kundi pinagbubuhat lang ng mga gamit nung panahong yun.

   So sa tingin nyo, bakit donkey ang piniling sakyan ni Jesus ?

   This  took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:
      "Say to the Daughter of Zion,
        'See, your King comes to you,
         gentle and riding on a donkey,
         on a colt, the foal of a donkey.' "
                                --Matthew 21:4-5

       Bukod sa reason na ito, ano pa sa tingin nyo ang reason bakit sa donkey sumakay si Jesus ??

    "See your king comes to you, " [v. 5]

Jesus is the king, he's supposed to ride on a horse. But Jesus is humble and he don't want to scare the people.  Kasi that time, pag nakasakay ka sa kabayo , you are mighty, you are powerful.

        This is one of the extraordinary things Jesus did.

         To think that Jesus is king pero san sya pinanganak? Sa sabsaban imbes na sa palasyo. He is the king pero sa donkey sya nakasakay hindi sa kabayo.

     This clearly shows that Jesus do the Father's will na walang halong karangyaan just because he is the king.

    If you were the donkey chosen by God to ride on,  what would you feel?

    Imagine, you are a small, weak donkey. Medyo di ka gusto ng tao. Pero, Jesus chose you. Anung pakiramdam ?

   You are chose by Jesus to ride pn and use for his triumphal entry..

      Isn't it fulfilling ?? Isn't it happy ? Isn't it blessed ??

So, from the down and depressed donkey, you turned into a proud and confident donkey.

So, like the donkey,  we must be confident in praising and worshiping God. Be proud, but not boastful.

HOSANNA -- means Praise the Lord.
     Let's praise Jesus, the Prince of peace, the Lord of lords, the King of kings,  with all our heart and mind.

PRAYER :
        JESUS, you are the greatest.  Help me to praise you Lord with all my heart without pretending. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
