A/N: How Godzilla could've easily ended the fight against Kong had he not possess "plot armor".
Adam: I agree with how this would go without the plot. However there are two reasons why Godzilla spared Kong. 1: Kong was never the primary objective of Godzilla, it was the people of Apex trying to utilize King Ghidorah's head as a weapon in MechaGodzilla, something that would disrupt the balance. And 2: Godzilla was not at his full strength. Remember he spend days travelling the world destroying Apex facilities and at one time used his Atomic Breath to blast a hole straight through Hollow Earth. He was exhausted and his near defeat at MechaGodzilla is proof of that.
