You placed the last remaining dish you cooked at the dining table.

A heavy sigh escaped your mouth as you looked at the dishes on the table. You prepared a simple and typical Japanese food such as sukiyaki, oden, gyoza, miso soup and yakisoba, and for the dessert you made some blueberry cheesecake and dorayaki. You slowly stretch your arms up before letting out a groan.

Finally, after four hours of preparing for dinner, I finally finished. I hope they'll like it.

You took of your apron before going back to the kitchen to prep some plates. As you place the plates in the table you suddenly stopped when you heard some commotion in the hallway. And you being the nosy person you are, you walked near the door and slowly open to peak at what's happening.

You saw a bunch of guys carrying large boxes and entered the apartment next to yours. You even saw them pushing in a fridge and a large flat screen tv.

Is someone moving in?

You opened the door completely and head out to check out what is happening. You saw your landlord Mr. Narita standing near the elevator instructing the men where they would put the boxes and such. You walked to him while eyeing the boxes scattered on the floor.

"Oh! Y/n, what are you doing out here?" he asked when he saw you.

"Good evening Mr. Narita, is someone moving in?" you asked still looking at the guys carrying the boxes and appliances.

He smiled widely. "Yes, someone called me this morning asking about a vacant room and when I said I have one he rent in right away and paid five months advanced!"

Your eyebrows knitted. "He rented it right away without looking at the place first? Isn't that a little weird?" you asked suspiciously.

"Hmm...." Mr. Narita hummed. "You're right, it is weird but I mean he paid in advanced so who am I to complain, am I right?" you then nodded and brushed off the suspicion.

After a few minutes of talking and catching up with your landlord you decided to say your goodbye to him when you saw that it was almost eight.

"I need to go, Mr. Narita. It was nice talking to you again. Have a good night"

"You too, Y/n"

You smiled to him before you entered your apartment and proceed to your room, you already took a shower before cooking and now you just need to change your clothes. You decided to just wear a white knit sweater and denim pants paired with brown sandals while you put your hair on a loose fishtail. You checked yourself again in the full-length mirror next to your dresser before heading out in the living room.

Your apartment isn't that big or small, it has a small living room, a clean kitchen, a washer room, one bathroom and one room. Which is perfect for you.

As you lay down on the couch waiting for your visitors you took out your phone and scrolled through your messages. You almost dropped your phone on the floor when you saw an old friend chatted you. You opened the chat and saw the message.
