Truth or Dare

"Dare" said Jay.

"Okay, well, I dare you to guess who has a dimple and poke it" said Heeseung.
"Easy" replied Jay right away.

He stood up and walked to Jungwon's, making the latter nervous. Everyone was watching the scene closely. Jay was next to Jungwon now, on his right side.

"How did he know Jungwon had a dimple?" whispered Niki to Sunoo.

Jungwon soon became overwhelmed by Jay's presence so close.

He looks so serious and so damn good with his blond hair.

"Could you smile?" asked Jay, as he faced his victim. His voice was both sweet and deep.

Jungwon looked at him and did as told. As soon as his dimples showed, Jay poked them. Jungwon felt his heart racing at the contact. When Jay put his fingers away, they slid a bit on Jungwon's cheeks, burning him.

Jungwon was suddenly very aware that all of the roommates were watching them. He just hoped he didn't look too obvious.

Jay got back to his seat as nothing happened. He glanced at his roommates, deciding who would be next.

"Niki" he said. "Truth or dare?"
"Dare, always" replied Niki.
"I dare you to show us the last text you sent" said Jay, curious.

Niki smirked as he took his phone out. He opened the messages and showed everyone the last he had sent. It was a question addressed to a certain Hueninkai, related to a report he had to write for his history of art class.

"I'm kind of disappointed" said Jay.
The others agreed while Jay turned back to check the clock on the wall.

"Well, this has been cool but I'm going upstairs now" he said, leaving them without looking back.

The roommates didn't look surprised, as if this was usual. Only Jungwon seemed bothered by that. He waited for Jay to have left the kitchen to speak.

"Why did he leave?" he asked, looking at the clock. "It's only 22:30."
"Jay has a strict sleeping schedule" explained Heeseung. "Always had."
"Oh" replied Jungwon, trying to disguise his disappointment.

Jay was hiding in the staircase. He hated to be eavesdropping, but he needed to know what was happening the kitchen. When Heeseung replied correctly to Jungwon's question, Jay decided he could go up and hide in his room.

"So anyway" continued Niki. "Now's my turn! Sunoo, truth or dare?"
"Hum, tough decision... last time I said dare I ended up doing squats while carrying Jake" said Sunoo.
"You did what?" asked Jungwon, shocked.
"You heard it" replied Jake. "My boy is the strongest."
"Well, I am, but I don't want to risk it anymore" continued Sunoo. "So... truth."

"What's the last lie you've told?" asking Niki, smiling proudly.
"Oh boy" replied Sunoo, forced to expose himself. "First I hate you, but then, last lie I told was when you asked me if I ate your tteokbokki and I said I didn't."
"I KNEW IT" shouted Niki.
"Did you use the game to confirm that?" asked Sunghoon, laughing.
"Obviously" answered Niki, while Sunoo hid his face.
"I'll take you out for tteokbokki" promised Sunoo. "But you know you're not supposed to play like that."
"What do you mean?" asked Niki.
"You blew up your chance to create some drama" explained Sunoo.
"Well if you're so good at it, please, be my guest" replied Niki in a condescending tone.
"Watch and learn" said Sunoo, smirking.

Everyone got silent, scared about what Sunoo had in mind.

"Heeseung, truth or dare" asked Sunoo.
"I think I should say dare" finally replied Heeseung, after an intern debate.
"I dare you to describe your crush" said Sunoo.

"Damn" whispered Niki.
"Come on" replied Heeseung.
"Really?" asked Sunghoon.
"That's not a real dare, is it?" asked Jake. 
"I think it counts" replied Jungwon.
"Yeah it does" confirmed Niki.

Suddenly the atmosphere changed and Heeseung got really awkward.
"I don't have a crush" he said. "Anymore."
Sunoo squinted his eyes, but decided to let this answer slide, because he didn't want to hurt Heeseung.

"Okay, your turn" said Sunoo.
"Really?" asked Niki. "He's getting away with that? What about watch and learn on how to create drama?"
"I asked the dare, so I decide if it passes or not" simply explained Sunoo.

"You know what?" said Heeseung. "I don't really want to play anymore."

He got up and quickly disappeared in the hallway.

"I think he did create drama" slowly commented Jungwon, as they heard Heeseung slapping his door.
"Told you" replied Sunoo. "But I'm feeling guilty now, so I'll go apologize later."
"How many times do we have to go through this Sunoo?" asked Niki. "Stop apologizing all the time."
"But this time, it's my fault" said Sunoo.
"Well, what should we do now?" asked Jake, cutting Sunoo and Niki's apology debate before it got out of hand.

The boys decided to watch a scary movie, but Jake and Sunghoon ran away before the end. As Jungwon realized that only Sunoo, Niki and him were still there, he decided to faint being too scared to continue watching, so that they could be just the two of them. He got up and headed for the stairs, hearing someone getting closer to the other someone on the couch.

Jungwon walked upstairs and went to the bathroom to wash up. He headed back to his own bedroom, stopping in front of it.

Something in him really wanted to turn around and open Jay's door. He kept picturing Jay walking confidently towards him. He could still feel the burn Jay's fingers had left on his cheeks. However, he resisted the urge to enter Jay's room to go inside his instead.

Jake was already asleep. Jungwon discreetly walked to his bed and dove into it. He felt so tired from everything. It had been a rollercoaster day, but it had been a good first day. He was looking forward to his first night as well.

Finally he could sleep.

He curled in his blanket, closed his eyes and slowly drifted away into dreamland.

How did he know I have dimples?

Suddenly Jungwon had his eyes wide open.
This question haunted him all night, impeaching him to sleep.
