Its been 6 years since the battle of corona and Cassandra finally decides to return. On her return Cass sees many changes in everyone and everything, particularly in a certain alchemist.
As things take a turn for the worst and old enemies catch up...
Cassandra stood in front of the mirror, smiling at her reflection. She felt beautiful in her new dress and recalled why she was wearing this dress.
About a month had passed since she returned to corona and started working with Varian. She had found out that Varian was not as clueless as she had originally thought; This new adult Varian had apparently had a lot of training from from his Dad and crazy Aunt and Uncles, not forgetting his self- Absorbed Cousin, Eugene.
They had Quickly finished Making the designs within a week and got it approved by Cassandra's Dad and Eugene. The latter had gathered a few dozen guards and they (Including Varian and Cassandra)had built the ground within 3 weeks.
They were to have a party to celebrate and Rapunzel, Eugene, Varian and her had gone shopping to buy decorations and other stuff.
When they were about to head home, Raps had elbowed Varian. Varian first gave Rapunzel a questioning look but then realization swept on him. Rapunzel exchanged glances with Eugene and he then Smirked.
"Well CassAndra, Lets go check up on the guards, shall we?"
"But it's 3 hours till 5-"
" Who cares? Lets go."
Cassandra had gave Varian an uneasy look to which he responded with a reassuring smile
That was that. Eugene pulled Cassandra towards the castle while Rapunzel dragged Varian towards the tailor shop.
Cass did not know why they had gone to the tailor but she had got her answer 2 days later.
On the evening of the party, Cass opened her wardrobe and groaned in annoyance as she saw that she had no dresses. As if on cue, Rapunzel burst into the room carrying a box in her hands.
"Hey Cass!" Rapunzel greeted cheerfully.
"Hey Raps! Do you have a dress I can borrow for tonight?"
"Don't worry Varian, Eugene and I got you covered!" Rapunzel said pushing her behind a partition and shoving the box into her hands.
Raps waited patiently as Cass changed. When Cassandra came out from behind the partition, Rapunzel gasped and smiled.
"Oh Cass..... you look SO beautiful!" Rapunzel squealed.
And Indeed she was. Cass looked in the mirror and smiled to herself. The bodice was a bold shade of purple and left her shoulders unclothed her arms baggy, it had gold edges and was made of lightweight material.
But the skirt was what made the dress likable for Cassandra. The skirt was made of purple purple tool and only covered the back leaving the front open. It had come with black pants that matched perfectly with the purple and brown leather shoes with golden buckles.
Overall it was the perfect dress in Cassandra's eyes. It gave her free will to move around and fight if necessary.

" where did you buy this dress" Cass asked in wonder
"Varian designed it himself."
"He what!"
"He designed it and I paid for it though Varian was not really happy with that. Eugene did his part by distracting you"
Cass snorted at 'Eugene's part' and even Raps giggled.
Rapunzel helped with her hair ( it had grown longer now )and painted a little makeup on her face. Once they were both ready they headed to the throne room where the party was taking place.
Rapunzle, Eugene, Lance, Kiera and Catalina were all dancing. Even Celeste, who was only 4, was dancing with a boy she met earlier ( It took 3 people to keep Eugene from killing the boy).
Cassandra gloomily walked over to the punch bowl but she did not notice Nigel, who has a rather strong dislike for reformed villains, was sticking his feet out for her to trip.
Fortunately for him, she did trip.
Right before she fell face first into the punch bowl, a hand caught hers.
The person pulled her towards them and held her close.
"Are you okay"
Cassandra looked up to meet blue eyes. She had seen many people who had blue eyes (heck even she had blue eyes at one point) but only one person that she knew had eyes like this. Only one person had this glint in their eyes that were so mysterious and capturing, full of knowledge and wisdom.
And that person was Varian.
He looked at her with concern evident on his face.
"Yea I'm fine"
When they finally broke out from a trance, captured by each other's eyes, they realized how close they were. They let go of each other, blushing like crazy, and turned to look at Nigel.
Speaking of Nigel, He was so angry that he turned a shade of purple.
"Punch would have made that bastard traitor and her ugly dress better, don't you think Mr prisoner?" Nigel mocked
"The only thing I think is that you have to keep your nose to yourself before I spill your and Freddy's secrets."
Cass smirked as Nigel turned pale. 'Varian always knew how to talk sass ' she thought. Nigel just walked of looking like a powdered churro.
Varian turned to Cass. "Now... May I have this Dance Milady" Varian asked hopefully.
Cass smiled. "Of course Milord" Cass pulled Varian to the dance floor in excitement. It had been years since she danced.
Hours passed, Varian and Cass dance to their hearts content. Song started and finished, People came and went, but nothing stopped them as they were lost in their own world.
The music eventually stopped but the didn't stop dancing. By the time they finally broke away from their trance, all eyes were on them. Realising how close they were, they both blushed like crazy and left the ball room giggling all the way.
Eugene stood there mouth agape while Rapunzle was smirking. Everything in that smirk screamed 'I know your hiding something'
Boy, was Varian gonna have a long day tomorrow...
