I sit on my bed staring at the bare wall in front of me. The train slows to a stop, and the air locked doors open with a gust of air that I can hear through the wall. I hear the clack of peacekeepers boots coming through.
"Knock knock. Ready?" Laceon says through my door.
"Yeah.." I say before opening the top drawer of my vanity and grabbing the necklace.

The car hits a bump in the middle of the capitol. It's so beautiful for such a horrible place.
I run my fingers through my hair to move it out of my eyes. Jackson sneaks a look at me while I do that, and I look at his hand. His ring was gone. I decided that he took it off so he wouldn't loose it. I don't know what it involved me at all but, eh.
The car stops in front of a big building where for the front is only windows. on the side it has the numbers of each district on every floor. There are obviously thirteen, but the numbers stop at 12. The driver unlocks the doors and Laceon gets out first. He pulls me out and walks around the car to Loreal. A peacekeeper grabs my hands and leads me to the building. I stand in front of him and wait for Loreal. She comes in last and leads us to the elevator. I stepped in hesitantly, as Laceon presses the D6 button.
It starts moving, and I shake slightly with anticipation. No One noticed, because they acted like they have done this a billion times before.
"Nervous?" Laceon says beside me. When did he get there?
I shrug and turn away. Maybe it was because it was so close, but I didn't want to see him right now.
The elevator slows to a stop at a gigantic apartment. There was a 6 on the wall, and it looked nothing like I thought it would. Everyone thought it would be filled with spikes and knives, even the kids rumored you had to sleep in coffins. I smile and walk to what I assume is my room. I didn't know why, but no matter how comfortable this room could look, and how inviting it could seem, I had a feeling of unease, because I knew that this could very likely be the only place I would ever sleep again.
Again, not the best. I'm trying to build up and so far I don't think I'm doing so good lol 😂😂 hope you liked 😂
