“Christmas party? Tonight?”

Akaashi had been jogging in the park and had coincidentally met Konoha- and Konoha had stopped him immediately, saying he had something to tell him.

“Yup. It’s a club tradition! We crash into someone’s house, then we have a sleepover together, and we count down and celebrate! Will you be free?” Konoha asked excitedly.

Akaashi hummed. “Mm. I’ll ask my parents first, then I’ll message you when I get their answer.”

Konoha nodded and went off. How interesting, Akaashi thought, before smiling a little. Looks like coming to Fukurodani was a great choice after all.

He pulled out his phone and went to his family chat.

Akaashi immediately informed Konoha that his parents were cool with it, then off-ed his phone. As he jogged home, he couldn’t help but think- I have such cool parents… I’m so lucky.

Once at home, he started packing his things into his backpack- toothbrush, toothpaste, pajamas, extra clothes, phone charge…

He eyed his first aid kit sitting on his desk. He had always taken that around with him just in case of an emergency- and was tempted to take it along to the party out of habit.

After thinking for a while, he decided to bring it anyway. Just in case, he thought. No harm in bringing it.

He then checked his phone and noticed a message from Konoha- informing Akaashi (in a very dejected way) that the party was at his- Konoha’s- place.

He was also informed that he wouldn’t need to bring a sleeping bag since his house had many futons, and that he could actually start heading over.

Akaashi sent Konoha a sticker showing an owl laughing and headed for the fridge. I should bring some food over, he thought.

From the fridge, he pulled out some fudge. He had made some yesterday as an experiment (and maybe to give to Bokuto as a gift), but then decided to bring it to the party to share.

After packing it up, he suddenly realised: Oh. I need to buy gifts. Oh well, I can buy ‘em on the way.

Grabbing his bag, he took his wallet and phone and left the house. Before heading to Konoha’s house, he decided to swing by the nearby small market. I could find some gifts here, Akaashi thought.
