Meeting him again

Rose stood up from the couch as she saw Adrian. Yes, It was real.
"Rose! " Adrian called. Tears rolled down his eyes as he met her again after years.
Rose did not respond back.
She was sad but she didn't want to show him that she was weak.
They just stared at each other.
"Is this him. Your brother?" Johan asked in order to break the silence.
"Yes! He is my brother, Adrian." Nick replied.
"Hello, I am Adrian. Nice to meet you!" Adrian introduced himself to Johan as he hear that.
But Rose slapped Adrian and walked out from there.
Johan followed her out.
"Rose! wait! " He called. She ran towards the car and stopped crying.
"Rose-"
"Johan, let's go" Rose said. She looked bold but was still crying inside.
Johan started the car.
Rose saw Adrian running to reach them but she didn't want to mind him. She didn't look back but she was looking at the rear view mirror.
Johan looked at Rose. She was really sad and angry at the same time.
He dropped her at her house. She didn't speak a thing. She got out,closed the car door and went inside her house.
Johan wanted to speak to her but she didn't want to.
He drove the car to a high hill and got out. It was so windy outside. He stood there watching the view. He took out a packet of cigarette from the car.
He doesn't have a habit of smoking but he did smoke when he felt lonely and frustrated.
He didn't find and lighter with him so he was searching for one inside the car and then he got a call.
He put the cigarette back and took the phone. It was from an unknown number.
"Hello. Who's calling?" Johan asked.
"Is this Mr Johan?" The voice said.
"Yes. I am and who is this?"
"My name is Adrian. We met today." He said.
"Oh! Yes. Why did you call?" He asked directly.
"Actually, I knew that you were Rose's friend. I need a help from you! Please"
"What help?"
"I want you to bring Rose to the Burnit park tomorrow. I want to speak to her. I want to make my part clear to her. Can you please bring her there without her knowing about any of these." Adrian begged Johan.
"I don't think she would like meeting you again." Johan replied back.
"I know but I want to apologise for what I did to her. Please, one last time."
"Let me think about it." Johan replied.
"I'll be waiting at 7 pm at the park tomorrow. Please bring her there near the water fountain. I beg you!" Adrian said.
"Okay! I'll try." Johan said and hung the phone.
Ofcourse he didn't want to take her there.

Johan went to Rose's house just because he wanted to check on her.
He saw that the door was open so he got in without ringing the bell.
He saw Rose sitting on the couch reading a book.
"Oh! Johan. Have a seat. I'll get something for you to drink. What do you prefer cold or hot?" Rose asked as she saw him.
"Take something cold, not for me alone." He said and sat down.
Rose went inside hearing that and Johan took the book she was reading.
It was written by Jasmine George. He read the introduction part of the book. It seemed quite interesting. It was about a girl finding a lost butterfly.
"Here!" Rose said and gave him a glass of orange juice.
"This seems interesting but I haven't heard much about the writer." Johan remarked.
"Oh! It's my mother's work. She used to write a lot when she got time. I had this work with me after she passed away. I really liked the story so i decided to publish it under my mother's name. You can take it if you want. I have other two copies here." Rose said and sat down on the opposite couch there.
"I like it . I'll take one." Johan said . He stood up from the couch where he sat and sat down near to Rose on the other couch.
"I came here to see you. Are you okay?" He asked.
Rose shook her head and said "Yes. I am"
Johan smiled and patted her head.
"Do you think I did wrong" she asked him.
"You did what your mind told you to" Johan replied.
"Yes. But I think he has something to say to me." Rose sighed and kept the glass on the table after finishing it.
He sat there talking to her for sometime and then he left.

Next morning he saw Rose coming to work. She seemed fine with everything. She did her work as usual.
"Rose! I didn't bring my car today. can you drop me home?" Asked Johan .
"Yeah sure" Rose replied.

"You seem so unhappy. I want to take you out so that you can get a change." Johan said to Rose.
Rose agreed and she dropped him at his house.
At the said time Johan went to pick Rose in his car.
"How do I look today?" Rose asked to Johan.
"Beautiful as usual." He replied.
"Wait as usual! I wore special makeup today. You don't see it. You have such bad fashion sense!" She said and got in the car.
Johan didn't show much enthusiasm for the trip but Rose in the other hand was so excited.
They walked in the park holding hands and went to the ticket counter near to the water fountain.
"Oh shoot! I forgot to take my wallet. Rose just wait here I'll go get it and come back right now. Okay!" He said and ran towards the car.
"It's fine. We can-" he left before she could say anything.
Rose went and sat on the bench near to the water fountain. It was beautiful to see the fountain changing it's colour. She sat there waiting for him to come.
"Rose! Can we speak?"
Rose hear a voice from behind and saw Adrian standing behind the bench.
She was schocked again to see him and stood up from the bench.
"I want to speak to you. Please listen to me, Rose. I came here to apologise!"
Rose didn't say anything but she didn't run away from him. She sat down back on the bench.
"Will you let me speak to you?" Asked Adrian.
"Yes, I will and I always wanted to hear that from you." Rose replied.
Adrian didn't expect to receive a positive response from Rose. She was always like that, she was always so unpredictable.

"I am a person whom you should hate a lot in your life. I am a person whom you shouldn't have met. I am not the one who deserves love from you. I deserve hatred from you, Rose!" He said.
Rose seemed confused hearing that.
Adrian started explaining.
"That day when I came to your room I saw the photos of you standing next to your mother. I knew your mom, Rose. I knew seeing her being abused and killed by my father. I remember seeing my father shooting your mother.
Rose, my father was the reason behind you being lonely. He was the one who killed your parents.
I don't know much deeply about the incident. My father was so cruel.
He was the one who killed our mother too."
Adrian bursted into tears while he said those truth. Rose was traumatised by hearing what Adrian said.
She didn't cry nor moved. She holded her pain inside her mind.
"Where is he now? Your father" Rose asked Adrian.
"I killed him Rose. I killed him for all his sins. He ruined the lives of many innocent people just for his happiness. I couldn't handle it anymore after I found out that he was the one who killed my mother.
A man came to our house asking for dad and he said he wanted money for something he had done 20 years ago. I overheard their conversation. He was the driver of that truck that hit my mother and he was in jail for these many years for some other case. He wanted the money for what he did and I saw my dad giving him the money.
As soon as he came inside I asked him about what happened and he agreed that he was the one who killed my mother by making her hit by the truck.
He was laughing and drinking the beer while he said that. He seemed to enjoy that moment when he spoke to me.
I remember him saying 'anyway she was a burden for me. Son, you should get rid of burdens from your life as early as possible in order to live your life propely'. I couldn't hold it back anymore. I took the gun that was lying on the table and pointed towards him. 'okay dad. I will make sure that I remove my burdens too' I said and then I shot him.
I am a sinner, Rose. I killed my own Father. I admitted my crime to the court but they didn't punish me. Instead they gave me 10000 dollars as a reward for killing my own Father because He was a wanted criminal and didn't punish me because I had metal illness. I didn't know what to do. I was admitted to hospital for months for my treatment. And now I live with my brother. He cares a lot for me." Adrian explained everything to Rose.
"I don't know what-"
"No Rose, I just wanted to see you and speak about these things to you. Now that I met you, I am so happy. I am so happy that you are rich, you got a car and you live happily. Things wouldn't have been like this if I was still with you." Adrian said.
"Why didn't you say these things back then?" Rose enquired.
"I didn't know what to do then. All I could do was to run away from you. I didn't want my father to find out about you. If he knew who you were he might have killed you. I didn't want that to happen, Rose."
"Please will you forgive me for leaving you back then." Adrian begged her pardon.
"I don't want you to love me or speak to me again. I just wanted you to understand me and forgive me." Adrian said again as he didn't get any reply from Rose.
"I can forgive you but I have to know why your father did that to them. Why?" She yelled.
