Poles Apart...?

Chapter 1

The day is beautiful as the sun is shining brightly in the sky. Miyoko's room got brightened with the warm rays of the sun.

Miyoko opened her eyes slowly. She sat up and took a glance at the clock beside her.

"8:10 AM!!!!" Her eyes widened as she shouted in panic.

She jumped out of her bed and hurriedly started getting ready. Due to panic, she was clumsily running here and there to reach her belongings.

"Damn!! I can't get late today! Even the beginning of the day is like this! I can't have the whole day like this! My tournament!" She said while locking the door and running towards the bus stand.

As the bus stand came into her sight, she could see the bus moving away slowly from a distance as if teasing her for her inability to catch it.

'8:20 AM' "Urghhh" She stomped her foot and looked at the way.

There were three ways to reach the stadium. One was a shorter one which is recently blocked for some reason. Other is the one that is too long for someone to walk there in just 30 minutes. The third one is not the way that any sensible person would use normally.

"What do I do??! I have to reach there before 9:00 AM!" She said worried.

Then, an idea came to her mind. She took out her phone and felt relieved to see that she have charged it the last night.

She opened the map in it and searched for the shortest route to the stadium. She followed the instructions given to her.

After some walking, she found herself standing in front of some notorious streets.

"Great! Now I either miss my tournament or enter these streets!" She said to herself "Arghh! Fine! I guess it will be fine as I have my phone for navigation."

Saying this, she entered the streets. She walked for sometime but then the network disappeared.

"What?!" She exclaimed "Today is really a disaster!"

She looked around to only find out that she is completely lost. "Okay! I am already lost, so let's try. Afterall it can't get any worse." She said as she started to explore the streets that were completely unknown to her.

As she was walking, she saw a green haired boy. She was about to call out for him but stopped and thought 'I think I should follow him. He will exit this maze for sure.'

She started to follow him. He was taking so many turns that was really confusing for her but still she managed to keep up with him.

'What the hell! Left.. Right... Right.. again Left.. Again Right.. Right.. Right.. Right.. Wait- he turned!' she sighed in relief as he again started walking but still gave her a suspicious look.

They again started walking and after a five minutes walk, they were now passing a street with 4 other boys there.

The boy reached at the end of street and was about to turn right when a boy from the street spoke up "Today is such a nice day! To think that I would meet a girl here." Saying this, he approached Miyoko.

She increased her pace but was stopped as the boy blocked her way.

He started taking steps towards her which caused her to shut her eyes closed, tightly. Then someone punched the guy really hard.

She opened her eyes at the sound and found the boy whom she was following, beating the other boys.

Pink dust appeared on her cheeks as she looked at the boy.

The boys ran away soon and the boy came to her. She opened her mouth to say thanks but stopped at what the boy said to her.

"Are you stupid or what?!" He shouted as she looked at him in disbelief.
