"Wake up my lady!" I slowly opened my eyes from the deep slumber I was in "good morning Scarlett" she opened the curtains "morning, lady Ellie" I slowly sat up and allowed Scarlett to undress me (so I could get out of my pajamas! And into my casual wear, Pervert!) "so, what's on the schedule today?" I asked hoping it wouldn't be a lot "you're schedule is clear, my lady" I smiled happily "good" it seems it's been forever since I've had a relaxing day off!
As I made my way to the dining room my four servants stood against the wall smiling at me.. What do they have planned? They're always into mischief! Scarlett persists they were the best she could ever ask for so I'll believe it for now. I sat down and awaited Scarlett to bring me my breakfast "here you are lady Ellie, bacon and eggs with one piece of toast!" Scarlett was a grand cook even though it took her a while to learn how to... I mean until she met me she lived off of souls... Even though, she still learned and it tasted way better than Dock's cooking, well that is whenever he managed to cook without blowing the kitchen to smithereens. "Thank you, Scarlett" was all I said while I sat back and ate.
After finishing I went up to dads- I mean MY study and began going through old files "lady Ellie?" I heard a knock on the door "yes Scarlett?" She walked in and handed me an envelope with a certain seal on it "the queens seal?" She nodded "what could Queen Victoria want with me?" I asked confused "perhaps to offer you another job as her watchdog?" I rolled my eyes "I hope it isn't... My father was the one interested in being her watchdog.. Not me" Scarlett sighed "perhaps read it then? It could be she has a request for you to fulfill" my parents had connections with the queen... That's why I think someone had hired an assassin to kill us all, but there was never any evidence or proof. As I took the letter out of the envelope and began reading I couldn't help but cringe "lady Ellie?" Scarlett asked "she's recruiting me... As her watchdog, I have no say in the matter" Scarlett sighed again but made her way to me "it won't be so bad milady. Besides, I'll be right there beside you" right, she can't let me get hurt until our contract is up.. I smiled a bit and nodded "we start tommorow" I whined.
