Hello readers!! Its your author-nim again. I must say, its been a depressing day man. (Finally got the rhyme right. Hope you guys are enjoying the book : )

Kaden's POV

It was almost dark. I took a quick glance at myself in the mirror. My hair was ruffled and my pale skin looked slightly paler. The ceremony will be starting in two hours and the nervousness has already gotten to me. I rub my arms over the sweater I was wearing.

Relax Kaden. It's gonna be fine.

I know. I just can't believe we're gonna take over the pack. What if I mess up?

There's no possible way of being a perfect Alpha. Shit's gonna go wrong at some point. But our pack is not a bunch of buttheaded idiots. They'll understand. They'll help us through this. Besides, I'll be with you always, how could you possibly mess this up.

Thanks....I guess, Thyme.

MOTHAFUCKA!!!

The Pack House was decorated luxuriously. The ground was layered with an antique persian carpet. Tables were lined with exquisitely embroidered cloth and. Golden sculptures placed in every single corner. The gold-plated cutlery glittered under the light. The entire setting seemed unnecessarily extravagant. But, being one of the richest packs in the area, we could afford to spend money like water.

The Pack members have gathered around the hall, joking around and gossiping. I spotted Jared among my other pack mates. He was already in his suit, with his hair slicked back and his shoes perfectly polished. I walked up to him.

"Hey man. How's it going."

"Fine, Liam will be here in a minute, he went to take care of something."

I nodded, trying to ease the awkward atmosphere. We weren't really that close. In fact, if Liam wasn't my bestfriend I wouldn't even make an effort. Its ironic, given how he's supposed to be my right-hand man, my Beta. But, Jared was a professional in handling stuff and a fierce fighter. His position as Beta was well deserved.

"Liam talked to me about moving. There's a penthouse near the border, I'll talk to Dad about letting you guys stay there."

"Thanks, Kaden."

I smiled.

Suddenly someone grabbed me from behind. I instinctively flipped the person over my shoulder.

"Ouch- THE FUCK KADEN!! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME"

"YOU FUCKING SCARED ME YOU ASSHOLE."

My cousin Michael huffed as he got up. He was a cheeky bastard, always up to no good. We had grown up together and his Dad, my Uncle Lucus, trained us since we were little pups. Mom always had a soft spot for him since Aunt Ester died when Michael was six and he adores her like his own mum.
