Confidence is key, and it was everything to Blaze. It was one of those things he was told as a child and against all odds, it stuck with him. Blaze learned young how to fake confidence when it escaped, how to show the world a face, the one that he could make. Maybe he did this because he thought only if he had the confidence, then the teasing would stop, the torture the belittlement, the embarrassment. And when he learned to fake it, things started to change. He became the funny one making the jokes not just being them. He had people notice him in a good way. He didn't have to hide anymore. So he kept it up, the face, the façade and it kept working.
Which led to now staring himself down in his bedroom mirror he practiced his opening lines. "Ok, first throw the omega out the window. It's always good luck, then as everyone looking at you state, my name shines brighter than the sun, hotter than your desire, I am Blaze! You are honored to meet me!" That should work, he thought. It was the first day, which could be more of a Blaze entrance than that. Catching the time he realized he needed to leave. Grabbing only the necessary, he stormed out of the house really to take on this year.
