Flustered, Blaze stopped outside of his class to collect himself before going in. "The hell was that? Who was that? Where did they come from, and why have I never seen them before?" Only a few questions raced through his head while he tried to calm down. He decided that he wouldn't throw the omega out the window today, but he still needed to make a big entrance. After taking a breath he burst into confidence seeping from every ounce of his body. After proclaiming his practiced statement with the intended effect he looked around at the surprised classes. that's when he heard from behind him,

"Thank you Blaze but please just sit down, you're already late for my class."

"Yes sir." was all he could manage before the class erupted into laughter. It could have gone a lot worse, plus he got them to laugh, so win-win in his book.

The rest of the class went as expected and the same as the last three years, but Blaze was a bit busy still thinking about the boy he met in the hall. By the end of the class, his infatuation only got worse. He yearned for an answer. He was thinking about asking his friends about him when he looked up from his phone to see Aphmau standing right in front of his desk.

Aphmau was the school's alpha, she took over when her boyfriend, an old Alpha, graduated. Everyone loved her so no one would dare challenge her. Has been able to pick a partner to lead with her, but for the past year and a bit, she never elected anyone. That didn't stop half of the school from trying, but she was perfectly capable of doing it herself. Blaze thought about it every once and a while but never threw his hat in the ring for a go. He loved his friendship with Aphmau, and would only want to help and lead his classmates. Nevertheless, she was standing in front of him now.

"Hey Blaze, how was your summer?" She asked as the rest of the kids filed out of the class.

"Good I guess, a lot of time working and road trips with my mom."

"Sounds fun, I noticed in class you were staring intently into the abyss, are you ok?"

"Ah shit really, sorry Aph. I'm fine I promise, I just ran into someone I have never seen before. He looked like your "All-American Golden Boy", tall, strong, blonde hair, and gorgeous eyes."

"OOOOooo sounds cute. You got an eye on him?" Aphmau said provocatively.

Flustered Blaze quickly responded, "Wha-No, no-no-no. I don't like men like that, he just caught my eye that's all. His voice is so, oh I don't know, elegant, and smooth. It sounds unreal, like the prince of somewhere."

"I might just have to find this boy, he sounds interesting," Aph said slyly.

"Good luck, I don't even know his name, and have never seen him around before, but if you find out his name, tell me. In the meantime, I have football to get to, later Aph."

He headed to football practice trying to forget about this guy. He was surprised to find the number of people at practice was a fraction of the team. Word he thought but his friends were there so he didn't care much. His friends distracted him for a while, then they all went out for dinner afterward, but later that night all alone Blaze couldn't sleep. Against his will, whenever he closed his eyes all he could see were those sparkling blue eyes, repeated in his head was this boy's voice, smooth and elegant speech. "What is happening? This boy was nothing special but I can't stop hearing and picturing him. It's because he's new and different, it has to be. If I befriend him, and he stops being new and mysterious then this will all go away." He thought to himself. Tomorrow he would find this boy, he had to. With that resolution, he fell asleep.

The next day when well for as much of a mess Blaze was he got through the day then finally he was again on his way to his last class same place he saw him yesterday. He got there early and waited to spot him, but nothing he watched as every other student made their way through the hall but the only one that mattered wasn't there. He waited past the 2nd bell hoping he could at least catch a glimpse of him, but nothing. Dejection Blaze had his way to class this time sliding into the back as Mr. Collins started teaching. Blaze didn't pay attention much during class but he usually didn't anyway. By the end of class, he didn't feel any less deflated, hopefully, the practice would make him feel better. As he was walking out Aphmau stopped him in the hall.

"Blaze, guess what, I got news!" She said excitedly

"Did you finally pick me to Alpha with you? I knew you would come around sometime, and I'm still offering the no-strings-attached policy. Thank you, I gladly accept." He stated, knowing that wasn't the news.

"No dummy, stop getting ideas. I found your new person."

Blaze knew exactly what he was talking about but still asked innocently, "Who? I need nor have any person to call my own. I'm a lone wolf forevermore." For good measure, he let out a little howl that drew some attention.

"Ah, you know EXACTLY who I'm talking about, the cute blondie you stumbled over in the hall" She explained, "I found out who he is for you, your welcome."

"Wait really, who? What else do you know about him?" Blaze asked a little too excitedly.

"Well," Aph continued, "His name is Garroth Ro'Meave. He is a year under you, has a younger brother, in my grade, and just transferred from somewhere. That's about all I could get as of now."

"Wow Aph, please tell me you were not stalking him or doing anything creepy again."

"No, this info was all legally obtained, I swear."

"Sure you are, Aph"

"Maybe, but does that really matter when you got the answers you wanted?"

"Maybe," Blaze said meekly. "Thank you, and you can stop now. His name is all I wanted."

"Ok, if you need anything else just ask, that was fun."

"I don't want to to do I," Blaze questioned

"Maybe. Anyway, I have to get going, see you later!"
