Alice's POV

It has been two months since we have left the cathedral tower. Eugeo has been working on a nearby farm from the campsite. Well, should I call it a campsite anymore? Now it is a place to call home.

Eugeo and I have created a cabin to rest with roof over our heads. Sometimes Solus's sun would dimmed due to the stormy weather or windy so at least we don't have to sleep outside. There was a river nearby so other then berries, Eugeo and I been eating through fish that we have caught. Is it weird that I can't even catch a couple of fishes due to them slipping out of my hands and Eugeo can handle catching the fishes with ease. I'm jealous due to his skills but not his fault.

"Alice? Hey Alice!" I immediately snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Eugeo. "U-Uhm. Yes, Eugeo?" I asked if he needed anything. "Just checking on you. What's on your mind?" Eugeo asked as I look away from him, folding my arms. Eugeo is setting some supplies that he bought with while he was at the farm.

"Just reminiscing what has happened for the pass two months. That's all." I told Eugeo what has been on my mind and I dropped my arms back to my waist level. I'm simply wearing my intergity dress, blue and white but without the armor parts as they are stored in the closet.

I left Eugeo alone in the cabin as I have walked out, grabbing the basket as I put it on my right wrist to go grab some berries and herbs from the surrounding areas since it has been getting cold. The leaves are turning orange or yellow and the trees are slowly going to sleep due to the temperatures. Solus's sun is sure getting further and further away...

I bend down to the bushes level and I gathered some red berries and purple berries that aren't poisonous onto the basket. "I should try to get some herbs in case we need it for food seasoning or if one of us gets sick.." I thought to myself.

Although... How long is our life going to be peaceful? It's going to end anyway since Eugeo is worried about Kirito nonstop. Kirito is a strong and honorable swordsmen. He wouldn't give up that easily. Right?...

I should stop doubting myself, Kirito is fine. "No need to worry Alice." I mumbled to myself as I continue gathering some herbs onto the basket. It was starting to be sunset, I should get back inside.

I stood up, walking back to the cabin and stepped to the stairs. Opening the entrance to the warm and cozy cabin, closing it behind me. "I'm back." I said as I approached to Eugeo who is prepping dinner.

"Welcome home, Alice." Eugeo seems having trouble trying to head up the steamed buns that he got from the farm. Probably the farm went somewhere or they have just given some to Eugeo for the hard work. "Don't tell me that you'll like Kirito too when he nearly almost burnt his food.." I sigh as I grabbed his wrist, shaking my head annoyed by their actions. "I know that you are good in sacred arts but don't rush on the food process." I said as I had my hand over the buns.

"System call. Generate thermal element. Aqueous element. Aerial element. Vortex shape. Burst." I casted an sacred art as the buns were now heated up. "Thanks Alice." Eugeo thanked me and I nod my head. "It's alright, you'll still practicing when it comes to cooking." I said. He really doesn't need to thank me after all..

"You want some soup while you at it?" I asked and Eugeo nod his head while setting the wooden plates and the steamed buns on top. "Sure. Though please don't burn it. You may be good in sacred arts but cooking by hand without sacred arts needs to work up a bit." Ow, that hurt but Eugeo ain't lying about it. My cooking needs to be worked.

I prepared the pot and set it on the top, bending down to the open area that has firewood there. "System call, generate thermal elemental, aerial element. Adhere. Discharge."

( ( Note from author: I s e r i o u s l y don't know how they cast their arts. Please don't be offended by how I worded it out. •^• - scarlet ) )

I had my hand touching the stick as it started glowing orange. I threw it to the firewood and it started a fire underneath the top of the pot. I started making my ingredients and poured some water from the bucket. Carrots, potatoes and some fish meat parts.

"So, Alice." Eugeo's gentle voice has now suddenly changed to being serious. I know what he is going to ask. "The invasion?" I asked him the question. He is not fazed since it's always been on my mind for the pass two months.

"Here's the plan, we can go to the top of cathedral tower. The 95th floor, then we will sneak our way to the 90th floor." I explained the plan which Eugeo caught up to it. "The great bath? Why would we need to go there?" Eugeo asked and I have my left hand against my left side hip. "The steam could try to hide us if we get detected by uncle since he takes his breaks there. We can go there during night time since who knows the Centoria's civilians may see some dragon flying above the skies if they have good eyesight.." Adding to the reason why we need to head to the 90th floor.

"Alright, what about if the first plan failed?" That is a good question now that I think about it. "I don't know, just hope for the best." I answered, though Eugeo seem to be doubting that the first plan will not succeed.

I suddenly realized that I forgotten to check on the pot. "The soup!" I turned my head as I picked up the lid, it smelled really good and I poured some onto the wooden bowls.

"When do we start, Alice?"

Tomorrow.
