Chapter 10 - Locked out

Minho pov:

As I approached the building, I saw a familiar silhouette. It was Jisung, he was walking alone. What is he thinking? It'll be dark soon and he's so precious. Lord knows the bad things some might want to do to him. I speed up a little to get closer to him and stopped at a distance that was not too far but not too close. I put in my AirPods and pressed play to listen to some music. Shit, they were not connected and my volume was quite loud. Jisung turned around.

"Hi, sorry my phone is stupid" I said awkwardly and he laughed a little.

"It's okay. You don't need your phone to play music. I can sing for you" he said jokingly and I laughed along as I went up next to him. No escaping now.

"So how was your appointment?" he asked and I blushed a little knowing I was about to lie.

"Oh, it went wonderfully. I think I'm good now" I answered and he smiled. Why did he have to have a smile like that? All I wanted to do was squish those cheeks. We had arrived at the building and I opened the door, holding it for him. He looked a bit surprised but I just tried playing it cool like it was nothing.

"I'm feeling a bit lazy, do you want to take the elevator with me?" Jisung asked and stopped in front of it pressing the button to go up.

"Yeah sure" that would get me out of here faster. The elevator came down and the doors opened. We went inside and I pressed the bottom for our floor. We were standing awkwardly side by side and were both avoiding eye contact. Mabey he could sense I was a bit tense. Suddenly there was a small drop and the elevator stopped. We looked at each other in fear the elevator was stuck, but luckily the doors opened on our floor. That was close.

We walked out the elevator and up to our door. I checked my pockets for my keys. After searching for a while I remembered I didn't bring my key with me this morning since I was rather busy.

"Do you have your key?" I asked Jisung and he started looking in his pockets.

"No I don't" he answered. Well, that was just great.

"Okay let's ring the bell. Mabey Changbin or Felix is home" I said and Jisung shook his head.

"Last time I saw them, they were still in the practice room. But maybe try calling them" he said and I found my phone. First, I tried calling Changbin. No answer. Then I tried calling Felix. No answer. I looked at Jisung and he looked at me.

"We're locked out" I sighed and sat down on the floor.

"We can just wait here till they come back. I can show you how far I come with the dance today" he said and got the song ready. He signaled me to start it and he started dancing. He was way better than when we started. Mabey it had been good for him as well to have a practice day without me. I have been told I can be quite intimidating, especially when it comes to dancing. I watched him as he finished up. Now, how do I compliment him with making it too sweet?

"Great job, you have improved. But let's look at it again tomorrow" he nodded to my response and sat down as well.

"Do you mabey want to talk about how you have been avoiding me today? I would expect something like that from you, but honestly, it's starting to hurt my feeling a little" Jisung said and looked my way. I hate talking about feelings. A few seconds of silence followed until I answered.

"I haven't intentionally been avoiding you. Please don't take any offense to my behavior. I never mean any harm" I half lied. I guess one could look at my behavior towards him lately as a bit mean. Honestly, my feelings had just been too confusing to deal with. But mabey I should start working on it.

"Okay great. But please, since we share a room now, can we mabey work a bit more on our communication?" he asked. It sounded like we were an older married couple. It made me smirk a little.

"Yes of course. I have been in between companies for the last couple of years so I guess I'm a bit hard on the outside because of the constant changes. But I feel like I have finally found my company. I have genuine friends here. Plus, there are cute people like you here" I said, not meaning to say the last part out loud. Jisung looked shocked at me. I looked into the ground and scratched my neck.

"I'm just joking haha" I said and he laughed nervously. While laughing, he put his head on my shoulder. A bit confused I lead my head on top of his. I constipated whether I should reach out for his hand or not. It was just laying there perfectly on his leg. It was kinda great to finally open up a bit. I decided to go for it but as I reached out, the elevator door opened and Felix and Changbin stepped out and looked at us. We both stood up quickly.

"Changbin I think we should go back into the elevator. I think we traveled into a new dimension" Felix said and they laughed.

"Nooo pleasee. Unlock the door for us first at least" I said and they approached us.

"Here you go" Changbin said as he opened the door. Interesting day so far.
