YOUR VOICE ANNOUNCING THAT TRY OUTS were over snapped keiji out of his thoughts.
he realized he had barely paid attention because of keikos sudden attachment. he sighed softly while waiting for keiko to choose her chips.
keiji smiled at his daughter before looking up at you.
keiji "it was nice of you to get them snacks, [last name]-san."
you smiled hearing the man's voice.
you "it was the least i could do! they all did great today."
deep down you knew that wasn't the only reason. but you left it at that, things were moving too fast.
keiko finally picked her chips and gave you a big hug. you looked at her shocked and hugged her back loosely.
you "bye keiko, you did great today. goodbye akaashi-san."
akaashi held his daughters hand and waved bye to you.
keiji "see you, [last name]-san."
as the akaashis slowly walked to keiko's class, keiji praised keiko. like you said, she did do great from what he saw.
he knew she worked her hardest and wouldn't let them take breaks during that week of him teaching her.
keiji "great job today keiko. i'm so proud of you."
the younger akaashi giggled, she was proud of herself too.
keiko "i know right daddy! i know i made it on the official team!"
keiji laughed. she wasn't coming at him with false modesty, and he knew she was serious.
keiji "yeah? how do you know that princess?"
she looked at the male with a obvious face.
keiko "didn't you hear?? miss [last name] congratulated me! i know i did good!"
he laughed at his daughter.
keiji "maybe you should properly thank miss [last name] then keiko."
she tapped her chin.
keiko "i think you're right daddy! buy miss [last name] some flowers!"
keiji shook his head.
keiji "i meant you should do it. just tell her thank you when you see her next week, since you 'made it on the official team' already."
keiko threw her head back, 'ughing.'
keiko "fineeee."
while the kids were being walked back to class, you and chiyo (who had finally came to work.) were deciding who would be on the team.
you only had to eliminate three people. you both knew a girl named yui would stay. her height would be useful and she was a damn good middle blocker.
another girl chika was going to be a good libero. she received nicely. you guys kept rewatching how the girls did when you finally made it to keiko.
chiyo had already been looking at you.
chiyo "do you think miss keiko should stay [first nameee]"
you didn't say anything but you did move her name to the stay list. chiyo took your silence as embarrassment.
you were serious about her staying. she was a great setter and received the ball well.
you were thinking about making her the official setter later down the road.
chiyo was laughing at you while you were trapped into your own thoughts.
chiyo "it's not everyday you come across some eye candy like her father! you're practically whipped! HAHAA"
you put your head in your hands.
you "she's actually a great setter though chi! her father has nothing to do with it i swearr."
chiyo rolled her eyes rubbing your back.

you turned your head towards her. 'does she not want keiko on our team??'
you "do you not want keiko on our team or something miss chiyo?"

chiyo "of course i want her on our team. her god father is fine as fuck [first name] & she can play volleyball of course."
you rolled your eyes. she didn't even know how keiko played today. she was too busy scrolling through her phone. but then you wondered who her god father was.
you "who's chiyo's god father?"
chiyo patted your shoulder.
chiyo "oh you know.. bokuto kōtarō!"
you looked at her confused. 'who the fuck is that?'
