i said carefully while opening one eyes
to look at y/n standing in front of me... without their mask. they had a small smile gracing their lips as they took a few steps forward to place a flower in my hair.
"i got distracted by a flower field that i found on my way here and thought that the lily would look good on you..."
they said turning away from me with light pink dusting their cheeks.
"thank you, i appreciate this small act of kindness..."
they turned to me again after hearing that and sat across from me to get a better view.
"and it seems like i was right. it really does suit you."
they offered me a big smile... and i felt like my heart was about to explode. just this simple action that i see people do every day of my life made me all warm on the inside from them.
'gOdness... i wish i could protect that smile forever..."
