--- Football Field

"Hey Y/N! Pay Attention! You're watering the grass." the coach shouted as I snapped back into reality

My name is Y/N. a lovely nickname that was given by my dad has spread throughout the whole football team. nothing like being reminded every day just how short you really are.

"Wow. Dad's not letting up this year, huh?" Sebastian commented that was standing right beside me

"Nope," I sighed

It's pathetic. I'm not allowed to look at boys much less talk to them... Except for Sebastian. Dad's labelled him "safe". anyone else is off-limits.

All the boys follow the one rule Dad insisted: no one is allowed to date the coach's daughter.

And I'm the coach's daughter.

"Yeah. I don't think he'll ever be happy if I date a guy. he fights them all off with his grizzly-like manner and death stares," I looked at Sebastian

"Not all guys. I mean, I'm a guy. He's fine with me talking to you,"

"But you're not a guy guy," I told him as I chuckled

"What do you mean I'm not a guy guy?" he frowned and turned to looked at me

"I mean, I know you're a guy. But dad knows you. You're not a threat. It's not like you're Ryan."

Ryan Nguyen. The quarterback and the bane of Dad's existence. He's the one guy I haven't been able to convince myself to stop liking.

What dad doesn't know is that I spend every football practice staring at Ryan... He's the epitome of perfection in his six-foot-two, dark-haired, smells good even when he sweats Senior body.
(Let's just pretend that Ryan is that tall, okay <3)

"Wow. I, um, I should get back to Coach. He'll get pissed if he finds out I took a pit stop for a drink," drinking the last few sips of his water before running back

Sebastian is acting weird. Why would he get upset from the fact that I said Dad is not threatened by him? It's never bothered him in the past.

"Hey, Sebastian,"

Sebastian stops and turns, glancing back at me.

"Call me tonight?" I asked him with a smile

"Yeah, sure," nods and gives me a thumbs up

I nod. Sebastian looks a little strange -- sad or something. But it might just be my imagination. We've been friends for so long, it couldn't be anything else. so I give him a big smile.

"Have fun running!" laughed while watching him heading back before he could get yelled at

Sebastian gives me a small wave and starts to jog off the field and rejoins the track team that's running by. I watched him get swallowed up in the bodies.
