[a/n: still on hiatus but decided to finish this chapter that's been sitting in the drafts for a month. enjoy the 1.3k words, longest chapter yet]

today was your long awaited day off. originally, you wanted to sleep in and just spend the day in the comfort of your home, but texts from albedo led to a change of plans.

oh

okay why not

fine for you?

albedo
it's a date then

you stared at your phone for a few moments, figuring out if you had really landed a date with albedo or was hallucinating.

wait it's 1 p.m. now? i slept for more than half of the day... nevermind, i barely have time to get ready.

you chose to wear some simple but fashionable clothes, making sure you didn't seem like you were trying too hard, but still putting in effort to look presentable.

this should be okay. you stared at yourself in the mirror, admiring how hot you looked.

thus, you made your way to the station, though there was a weird feeling in your gut.

"hey." you had arrived at the station right on the dot, albedo appear at the exact same time.

"good afternoon. i'm assuming you haven't ate yet, seeing as you woke up at at 1. i managed to make something for you, since i live nearby, but it was a little rushed. sorry." he slid a lunchbox into your hands.

you didn't expect him to go to such lengths for you. "thank you!! but if this happens again, you don't have to cook for me." he insisted that it was fine, saying he liked cooking and it was no hassle.

you both sat down on an empty bench in the park. opening the box, you saw 4 slices of fish, with an assortment of vegetables on it's side. taking a bite out of the fish, he awaited your reaction.

"i hope you're okay with it. if you don't like anything, i can eat it for you." albedo mumbled. you could feel his stare on you.

you kept silent, which worried him.

"do you not like it...?"

when you turned to look at him, your smile was a complete contrast to your silence a few moments before. "no, i really like it! you're good at cooking."

he breathed out a sigh of relief. "if you want, i can cook for you as much as you'd like." you considered it. "hmm. if it doesn't bother you, then okay."
