"My name is Estrid, and I have been sent by the gods to fulfill one's destiny."

Everyone was in awe of the woman, Estrid. Sent by the gods themselves? They were ecstatic to hear this, especially with the proof that was what they all witnessed, and the ice remaining in the water. "Come," Ragnar said. "Welcome to Kattegatt."

The crowd parted, and Estrid and Ragnar walked to the great hall side by side.

Estrid's POV

I sat down with Ragnar and his friends, all of them looking at me in curiosity. "So," Ragnar began, "who's fate are you to help fulfill?"

A great question, if only I knew the answer. "I do not know, the gods have not told me, but I will figure it out on my own. It is my purpose."

"What are you?" torstein asks.

"I'm not sure. The gods answer in riddles. I suppose I'm human," I prick my finger with a knife, "I bleed," I put my hand in the fire, "but I do not burn." "i feel," i say putting my hand on my heart, "but i do not freeze," i finish, forming ice around my hand.
