Rouge wave

Chapter 6

      The group of 13 make their way through the carnage the flash fire caused and ended up in the main lobby, they all stop and stare at the what used to be a magnificent hall, it is now destroyed, dead bodies lie hanging of the sides of the balconies, confetti, streamers and balloons covering bodies. The only sound is running water coming from the roof which is rapidly flooding the bottom of the ship, an elevator shaft is mangled and broken lying hyper hazardly lying across from one side to the other.

'' omg...'' Hadrian whispered in horror his hand coming up to cover his mouth.  The others looking around shocked. 

" another way up? anybody?" Robert asked whilst looking around. " i've been sneaking around this ship for days, this is it" Elena says nervously. 

" i think we should climb" Tom confidently says walking over to Hadrian.

" will it hold our weight?" Hadrian asked nobody in particular whilst hugging teddy close in comfort. " it should, its steel" Robert answered trying to look comfortingly to the group of young adults. 

" Ron! what are you doing!" "come back!" Hermione and Hadrian both shouted out at him, as he was already starting to climb over the elevator shaft.  " I think it'll hold" Ron exclaimed already halfway across the shaft. 

one by one they all started to make their way across slowly, Ron stayed back to help Richard across who was closely followed by Elena, they were all trying to ignore the fear inducing creaking sounds of the shaft and sparks that flashed across every now and then. " go easy your already halfway there" Ron comfortingly said to Elena who stopped halfway, breathing heavily in fear watching the rapidly rising water below. 

Hermione, Draco and Narcissa made their way across next with Lucius and robert following closely behind them, the creaking sounds begging to get more frequent and louder. Sev stepped up next who was going to help Teddy across, " its alright sweetheart, follow uncle Sev and do exactly as he says ok?" Hadrian said to Teddy where he was getting ready to cross over with Tom holding him and helping Sev get him on his back. 

" hold on tightly ok? " Sev half stern and half softly said to him. lucky Larry looked over the edge, murmuring to himself them taking a giant gulp from his flask. " you might want to take it easy on that " drawled Tom sternly only to get a look back. By then everyone else had made their self across to the other side safely anxiously waiting for the rest of the group to get over safely. 

" ok Hadrian its your turn" Tom said looking at Hadrian and holding his hand out. " hell no! lucky Larry's ready to go" he confidently said barely standing on his feet wobbling all over the place with his eyes half closed.

"Really?" Tom said pointedly looking at Hadrian who was pushed a little when Larry came barging through. " oh, I'm sorry, Ladies first" he condescendingly replied sweeping his hand across and mockingly bowing.  

 Both Hadrian and Tom looked at each other and silently laughed  seeing the state he is in. " knock yourself out, its ok, go ahead" Tom said gesturing to the shaft. Larry jumped down onto the shaft and instantly fell over looking shocked and a little bit nervous. " im not going to let you bring me down with you, you don't just get the nickname Lucky Larry!, you gotta be Lucky! "he exclaimed making his way across. 

About halfway across he drops his flask when he slipped a little bit "no! damn!" he grunts just as everyone starts to hear a horrible sound like bullets hitting metal. " Hey who's shooting at us?" just a tremendous crash reveals one of the engines bursting through the now ceiling, it comes racing down right towards where Larry is standing on the shaft taking him down as its crashes into the water below as everyone yells in shock and surprise everyone makes a dive to get out of the way as it comes crashing down . gasoline starts pouring out of the hole straight into the water , loose sparks hit the running line of the gasoline causing it to instantly catch fire causing a constant wall of flame. 

" Hadrian!" "Tom!" was heard over the sound as multiple people yelled out in fear hoping they were ok. 

" wha... what're we going to do" Hadrian stutters in fear and shock, his breathing laboured and heavy from the heat of the wall of flame and shock over what just happened, he's clinging to Tom who had thrown himself over Hadrian to protect him. 

" Hey.. hey look at me, its going to be ok, i promise" Tom softly demands hold Hadrian's face in between his hands looking right into his fear stricken jewel green eyes. Hadrian subconsciously matches his uneven breathing to Toms heavy but calm, rhythmic breathing.  

Tom searches around for a long piece of rope or water hose and comes back over to Hadrian and first ties it around himself then grips Hadrian's waist whilst saying " do you trust me?" very seriously to Hadrian looking down at him, " Completely" Hadrian replies pure honestly in his voice and eyes. " hold your breath" Tom waits a couple of seconds tightens his grip then jumps straight down into the water below. Tom keeps a tight grip on Hadrian as they both swim their way through to the other side, avoiding bars from the balcony and floating furniture along the way, about 40 seconds late they both break the surface gasping desperately for breath before laughing slightly hysterically at each other. 

" where are they!" "do you see them!" they both heard the concerned voices a little above them. The two of them started climbing their way up to the reach the others, once they reached them they were both pulled up and Hadrian was jumped at by teddy with Ron, Hermione and Draco both surrounding him making sure he was ok whilst Lucius, Cissa and Sev went to Tom. The now group of 12  after making sure no one was hurt started making their way out again.
