Chapter 7

Meanwhile an explosion went off at the once roof of the cruise liner causing the ship to let out an almighty groan as it slowly began to sink into the ocean, the explosion caused a hole to appear into the roof of the ship as water began to be sucked into the cruise. Back in the ballroom the glass from the windows began to crack as more and more pressure was pushed up against them, terror began to fill the mass amount of people in the ballroom as they all hear the creaking metal and cracking of the only thing keeping them safe.

People began screaming, panicking trying to get away from the windows as the water started to leak through the cracks in the glass. A group of people began going over to the watertight door and pulled the lever open only for water to instantly gush out throwing people away and on top of one another. The pressure on the windows became to much and all at once the windows gave out over the pressure and immediately the ballroom began filling up, people being engulfed by the water with no way out.

The sound of screaming echoes to the group of 12, Hadrian instantly grabs Teddy and covers his ears from the horrifying sound, everyone else has frozen just standing there silently listening to the desperate cries that travel from the ballroom. As the screams start to fade, some cry silently and others look horrified or scared as they become more determined to get out.

" let's go" Robert solemnly says turning around to start walking as the others follow, as they all walk away a deep rumbling is heard as the ship sinks more, the water rising quicker, submerging the floors below.

Robert goes over to a small box with torches in it and smashes the safety glass and grabs all of them handing them out. Tom leads them all as they all look for a way up.

"come on!" Elena exclaims urging the group forward " look for a way up everybody!" Tom shouts.

" there's an access hatch over here!" Tom yells to get their attention " over here!" Hadrian exclaims as they all start to rush over hoping it's a way out. Tom starts to quickly push and pull the lever but just as quick as he does he closes it straight away as water comes gushing out causing them to all gasp and yell out.

" Tom! Robert!, we've got water gushing in over here!" Ron panickily shouts out, Tom Lucius and Sev rush over to watch the water push debris and bodies over towards them. "get back!" Hadrian yells out watching the water gush round the corner as he picks up Teddy and moves away towards the others.

" wait a minute I got something here!" Robert yells out as he runs over to a larger metal vent, he along with Tom and Sev all help pull off the over of the vent. " we can't all fit in there we don't even know where it goes!" Elena rushes out looking back and forth terrified. " if we stay here we drown, lets go!" Robert says sternly whilst gesturing to the others as he dive's through first " alright I've got a vertical shaft up ahead roughly 10 yards!" Robert yells down and gestures them to start following him, first to go up is Draco, Lucius, Cissa then Teddy, Hadrian and Sev.

Robert starts crawling through the shaft and hits the end he looks down hearing water bubbling and see it rapidly filling up the shaft beneath them, he quickly turns around shines the torch up a see a way through the slightly dented shaft with some metal bulging out. " were good the shaft leads up" Ron says looking down at the others and they make their way through and begin to pull themselves up after Robert.

"okay Richard your up next" Tom says urging him forward and he walk over to a panicking Elena. " ill be the last one to go, you go first" she hesitantly says warily looking at the shaft. "ill wait a little bit longer" "Elena you'll be fine go" they both begin talking over each other steadily getting louder and louder.

"Elena" Richard calmy says getting out the shaft and walking over, " Elena if u don't go we don't go" Richard calmly says looking straight at her. She looks shocked looking at them both, Tom suddenly grabs Elena whilst she struggles to get out of his hold as Richard quickly goes ahead so he can grab her as Tom pushes her in with him right behind so she can't get out.

As that's happening the others are making their way to the top of the shaft, Robert reaches the top and tries to open it but with no luck, he starts feeling around the edges and dejectedly looks down a look of despair on his face. Then he gets an idea " Teddy! Can you crawl up here?" " yeah!" he answers back and he begins to crawl his way up.

Meanwhile Richard with Elena and Tom make their way up but Richard suddenly slips and falls getting jammed in the dent poking out of the shaft.

"I'm stuck!" Richard exclaims panicked, Elena starts panicking wanting to get out as Tom is slowly being splashes with the rapidly rising water. They both start telling Elena to push Richard through the gap getting more desperate as the water continues to rise. She finally starts to push his foot while they both shout out encouragements as she puts all her weight to do one big push he finally gets out as they all quickly begin to climb through to reach the others.

" how're we going up there?" Tom yells from the bottom as he keeps looking to the water that quickly reaching his feet.

" working on it" Robert replies, " we need something up here we could use as a screwdriver a coin, ring anything" he shouts down, although no one can reach their pockets. Elena abruptly tells them to wait as she unclips her necklace, which is a metal cross, as they all begin to pass it up to each other.

By this point the water has reached up to Toms waist as some of them tell them to hurry starting to panic slightly. Teddy starts to unscrew the screws with the necklace trying to be quick as the water is slowly starting to engulf Tom, he gets both screws undone and they pop open as the water swallows Tom and reaches Elena, Robert quickly pushes the vent open and they all quickly start to get out the shaft.
