Y/n Pov

After hours of walking we finally reached the bridge that connected the two island halfs. "I can't understand how we walked for 4 hours if this island isn't even that huge to begin with." Cana stated in annoyance and crossed her arms. "Its not my fault that the path went into nowhere and we had to blindly search for it." I replied and looked up to see the temple further behind.

A cold chill went down my spine as I thought of what this temple could have been used to on such a remote island. Human sacrifices or forbidden rituals in the past? I could only shudder from the possible answer.

Cana stopped me and pulled out her cards. "Lets see what my cards are going to say, usually they tell what is going to happen." She stated and I gave her a curious look. "You mean fortune telling." I replied and she huffed. "Not that but close." She replied and sat down laying the cards on the ground.

I sat down right in front while she was looking at the cards for several seconds with Wendy looking over her shoulder curiously. "I wonder how this works." She stated and gazed down to Cana's cards.

Cana turned the cards around showing a monster a shrine and a magic circle. She placed her hand on her chin and thought for a while. "Hmm this could indeed be something to worry about." She whispered and then pointed to the cards. "There is something inside which could be way too dangerous for us to handle but that's only what I can read on the cards, I have no idea what it is." She spoke and stood up slowly.

Bill flew in front of me and Wendy was behind me while Cana was at the end. I went ahead of us to check on the area but stepped on something. "Get down Wendy." Cana yelled and pushed her aside making her crash on me before a tree that was falling down on us could crush her. I looked up to Cana that was right above me with her eyes . "Are you okay?" She asked with worry and we both nodded. "Yes, thank you Cana." Wendy replied and got up quickly.

I looked to the tree seeing that it was bound on two ropes. "Whatever it was that build this trap surely doesn't want us to come here and see what happens." I spoke and Cana stopped me. "We should look where we are going, this trap was activated by you stepping on it, no doubt someone could be here already." She stated and I was still looking at her.

"We should scout the area around the temple and inside of it out before doing something and then head back to the village to think of a plan." I stated and Cana nodded. She placed her hands on her hips. "I agree, the worst we can do is blindly jump into what lies behind there." She replied with a smile at me.

I couldn't wait what we will find out inside of that temple, I was desperately hoping for any sort of clue to my dragons whereabouts, but the chances were slim if not none to begin with.

I clenched my hand and looked up to the temple ahead. "I hope the punishment we will get is worth what we will find here." I stated and Wendy let out a shriek. "I don't want to be punished!" She yelled and Cana immediately placed her hand on Wendy's mouth. "Don't scream around, we might get unwanted attention." She warned and Wendy panicked a little.

A large stone door was open which used to have the temple closed off when it wasn't used. "Should we split up?" I asked and Cana shook her head. "Not for now, maybe later." She replied and we turned to the right as a path seemed to go around the temple.

Wendy walked in front of us while Cana grabbed my hand. "Y/n there is something I'd like to ask you about." She stated and I looked over to her. She looked quite nervously at me. Her cheeks had a pink color on them. "In a few days the Magnolia harvest festival is going to start and I'd like to ask you to accompany me on the market where all the people are always going around, I heard its something special when you go there together." She stated and then looked away.
