Silence filled the small area of a carriage occupied by 4 mages and two cats sitting at each side of the horse drawn wagon. It was large enough to hold six grown adults. The sound of groaning was heard coming from two of the mages slouched to the side leaning on the walls, desperately for the ride to end. Y/n stirred lightly making Cana look at him with a small teasing smirk. "Why do carriages have to move so much." He whined and she kept staring at him. She placed a hand on her cheek. "Oh you poor thing, I would never want to be in your shoes." She mocked smiling wide while Gildarts rolled his eyes staring in silence at Irene who demanded to be released from this hell by ending her life.
Irene jumped up leaning out of the window throwing up all of what she had eaten this morning before going on the journey left her stomach falling on the road. "Why didn't someone already make a cure for this." She whined clutching her hands tightly on the window.
Gildarts crossed his arms just looking at this in silence. He had a good view of Irene's marvelous behind. "Now I know how Erza, Gray and Lucy feel while they go on jobs with Natsu and Wendy." He stated and kept his gaze on Irene who sat back down on the seat looking like she was about to pass out. "Dad, can you somehow help Irene, I'm certain she needs it." Cana stated and Gildarts just let out a small sigh. "Sure, a damsel in distress should always be helped." He replied and pulled Irene to his shoulder making her rest her head on it. Irene mumbled a silent thank you and Cana picked Bill up from the seat placing her on her lap.
Cana stared wordlessly at Irene who was wearing a skirt with boots and a blouse. She herself wore cargo shorts and her usual blue bikini top with heel sandals. All their clothes for the banquette were stored in suitcases on top of the wagon as neither one of them had requip magic except for Irene who could only store small items in it with her staff being the limit.
Y/n on the other hand was desperate for this ride to end as soon as possible but all knew it was barely over as they had just left Magnolia. Cana sighed softly while looking at her father. "Dad have you ever been to that place?" She asked in wonder and Gildarts looked up to her thinking a bit. "Not directly, I've passed it on a journey, the whole estate is rather large with its own winery. A small village of the people working there. You could say it is its own autonomous town with most of the money coming from the selling of wine and the Medici family being the major. Their fortune was made through politics." He explained and Cana gave him a surprised look. "How do you know that? I thought the only thing you knew was what beer they would have in the region." She replied stunned and Gildarts let out a short huff.
He pointed to Irene. "I only know it because of miss perfect here." He replied with a soft smile looking at her. "When we made a job request last week we passed that area looking from the other side of the valley to the estate, she's a walking lexicon on everything regarding Fiore and other countries." He stated and Irene just whined from the agony of motion sickness that she felt.
Gildarts moved his arm around her making her head rest on his chest rather then his shoulder. On Irene's face slowly came visible a soft pink hue. "I think Irene likes this." Bill chirped looking at the content smile on the redheads face before it went over to one looking like she was about to throw up soon again.
Three hours passed and the carriage came to a stop with all six of them getting out of the carriage and Gildarts holding Irene in his arms as she couldn't walk or stand. Cana was trying her best not to fall with the weight of Y/n as she was holding his arm over her shoulders getting him to lean on the wall.
Gildarts eyed Irene who was held by him in his arms above the ground in a bridal carry. She was still dizzy but was able to gaze up to him not feeling motion sick anymore. "How do you feel?" He asked softly, staring down at her brown orbs. Irene realized that she wasn't standing and her feet were in the air meaning that Gildarts held her up against his strong chest. She nodded in silence not able to let out a word as heat infiltrated her cheeks.
