3 Months later:
Ro Won POV
It's been three months and the bodies were cremated. My dad and was devastated to know after finding out about the incident. He became a living corpse and stayed in his office and I couldn't help but feel sad.
Until one day he came out of his office and called me "Son....let's go and visit your sister" I just nodded and brought him to the columbarium.
Once we arrived it started to rain as we went inside the building.
AN: sorry if I got this part badly. I'm a Muslim and I have little knowledge about other religion who cremation and all. Literally have to Google "what is the place where they kept the cremated ashes in" and got the name.
The picture of her and a few flowers and memorabilia was placed for her. One was a necklace I gave her and another some simple trinkets. There was even a hairpin that used to belong to our late mother.
"Son..." my dad called out and I took a short glance at my dad.
"Yes appa?" I answered. He looked at me with tired eyes, probably fatigued from sleepless nights and his cheeks seem sunken. I worry for his sanity now and hoped he will be alright soon.
I heard a sigh and he cried. The devastated sobs were echoing beyond the walls of the columbarium and I was glad there weren't anyone around us.
The man who I look up to was crying grieving over his dead daughter due to his own mistakes.
"I'm a bad father" he said and I felt my heart ache by those words.
"No you were not appa. She was just...driven by too much of hatred that lead her to that. Don't blame yourself appa"
Soon appa and I stayed a little bit longer there and by the time we got out the sun has come down and the area was getting darker. The rain that started to pour became heavier and soon the both of us now drenched to the bones got into the car and soon left the building and headed home.
But that night changes everything in my life more than I expected it to be
As I was driving my appa was already sleeping as I took a glance a few times to check on him. I let out a soft sigh and at that moment I received a LINE message from Jae Na.
I stopped the car by the side of the road and read the message
Jae Na: Oppa...are you yet?
Me: I'm on the way. I parked so I could answer you. What's wrong? Are you okay?
Jae Na: Can I call you?
Me: SureSoon I heard the ringtone and couldn't help by smile and press the green button.
"Oppa?" Jae Na called as soon as I picked up the call
"Hmm?" I answered
"I want to tell you some good news" she told me and I had smiled
"What's the good news?" I ask and she started squealing slightly and I can feel the excitement from her.
"I got the Scholarship to get my Bachelor's Degree in the US!!
"REALLY?!" I said a tad too loudly it made my sleeping father stirred a bit but he continued sleeping "Congrats! I knew you would get that Scholarship. I'm so proud of you"
At that moment of celebration I come a realize would be separated with her for a few more years.
But I couldn't be happier got what she has achieved and it is not in my blood to be selfish.
"I know oppa. Oh gosh. I told my parents and brother and they were excited at first and then the four of us ended having a sob fest soon after" she said and I couldn't help but chuckle and could actually imagine her family doing that exactly.
