Under Lock and Key

Ryan's POV
I arrived at the huge mansion, that Davina texted me to meet her at. I got out of the car, and picked Hope up bridal style. I carried her up to the porch, and rang the doorbell.

A minute later, the door opened, and Davina stood there. I said, " Davina."

She said, " Clarke. Come in. Everyone is in the living room."

Klaus said, " What did you do to her?!"

He sped over, and he took Hope into his arms. I said, " I snapped her neck. It needed to be done. She's off the rails."

Marcel put his hand on Klaus's shoulder and said, " She needs to be under lock and key for right now. You know what we have to do."

Klaus handed Hope to Marcel, and they both sped away.

Kol held a bat in his hand, and said, " How do you know my wife, Davina?"

Davina said, " We are friends nothing more."

Kol said, " How did you even meet this fool?"

I said, " We met in the bar, I work at in Georgia."

Kol said, " I didn't ask you!"

Davina said, " We met at the bar he worked at. Remember, Caroline, Rebekah and I went on the girls trip a couple months ago?"

Kol said, " Oh, I remember. Something about a comic con."

Davina said, " Yeah, well I couldn't sleep, and the girls were already asleep. I went to the bar by the hotel, and met Clarke. We got talking about what we missed about our old lives. I told him somethings I knew about Triad, and made sure he knew what changed at the facility. That's it."

Kol said, " Okay, can I at least hit him for being in love with my niece?"

Rebekah said, " You told him!"

Davina said, " No, I didn't. You were the one who showed him the picture to Hope, and said that she was in love with him!"

I said, " What picture?"

Davina and Rebekah said, " Shut up!"

Rebekah said, " I never said he was in love with her! You had to of told him!"

Someone said, " Will you shut up?"

We seen Caroline leaning against the doorframe, weak. I seen a bite on her neck, and Rebekah said, " Caroline, I thought you were healed."

Klaus appeared, and said, " Love, I thought you were resting."

Caroline said, " I'm done resting. I want to know what's happening with Hope. I heard Clarke snapped her neck. Where is she?"

She tried to walk, but almost fell, till Klaus caught her.

Klaus picked her up, and sat her down on the couch.

Klaus said, " Everyone Out! Except Clarke."

Kol said, " What makes him so bloody important?"

Klaus said, " He's the only one that was able to incapacitate Hope. Now! Out!"

The other Mikaelsons sped out of the house.

I said, " If I'm not wrong, won't your blood heal her?"

Klaus said, " Not even my blood can heal this bite."

I said, " What bit her?"

Klaus said, " My daughter. I even tried to heal Caroline with a vile of Hope's blood, but it won't work."

I said, " How is her bite more toxic than a wolf bite, or a hybrid bite?"

Caroline said, " We don't know. It could be because she's the tribrid."

I said, " Hold on. Did your blood heal wolf bites even before you turned?"

Klaus said, " No, but my mother put a curse on me. I didn't even know my blood could heal a wolf bite until I heard of a prophecy saying it could, after I broke the curse."

I said, " So, maybe you need Hope's blood since she's the tribrid, now? I'm assuming the blood in the viles are from before she turned."

Caroline said, " It could work."

Klaus said, " What if it doesn't work?"

Caroline said, " It's nothing worth trying."

Klaus said, " What if it makes you worse?"

Caroline reached out, and grabbed his hand.

   Caroline said, " I'll take the chance. I took a leap and left the town where I grew up to be with you forever. I will take the leap to try this."

  He said, " Okay. Clarke, stay with my wife. If anything happens, yell for me."

I nodded, and he sped away. Caroline said, " You can sit down, Clarke."

  I said, " You can call me Ryan."

  She said, " Mind if I ask you something?"

  I sat down in a chair, and said, " Not at all."

  She said, " Cl...Ryan, how do you know Hope is still reachable?"

  I said, " When she first showed up, I knew something was off. But the next two days passed, and she ended up laughing. Humor is an emotion. She also showed another emotion, that I would rather not say."

She said, " Please, I know all about that kind of emotion."

I laughed, and said, " She's different around me. She had multiple chances to kill me, and she didn't take it. I'm not saying that I mean anything to her, but I just can't help but want to help her."

She said, " Im glad she means so much to you. If this doesn't work, she's going to need all the help she can get."

I nodded, and we sat in silence for a few minutes.

  Klaus came upstairs with a vile of blood. He walked over to Caroline, and held it up to her mouth, since she kept getting weaker.

She swallowed the blood, and regained color. She felt her neck, and said, " It's healed. I don't feel anything."

She sat up, and Klaus said, " As long as you're healed."

I said, " So, what are you doing about Hope?"

Klaus said, " We don't know."

Caroline said, " We will discuss this tomorrow. Right now, I'm exhausted, and it's almost midnight."

  I said, " Yeah. I should be getting going, then."

  I walked to the front door, and a voice stopped me, " Wait, Ryan."

  I turned around, and seen Caroline. She said, " You can stay here, after all. You did help us get Hope."

  I said, " No. I don't want to intrude or anything. I'll get a hotel room."

  She said, " You're not intruding. We have tons of rooms, here."

   Klaus said, " Love."

  She said, " Shut up, Nik. So, will you stay?"

  I said, " Maybe some other time. I'm going to get a hotel."

She said, " Okay. Goodnight, Ryan."

  I said, " Goodnight."

  I walked outside of the house, and got in the car. I drove to the nearest hotel, and got a room. I then got my shower, and then went to sleep.
