During the first few hours of his leaving, Soren stayed silent, following the creature to whatever home it was. He had thoughts blasting in his head, so many he couldn't keep up.

When the creature stopped, so did Soren. He looked around to see if any building was near. The creature then took a charm from their cloak and gave it out to Soren.

Here, if you have this with you you'll be able to come in.

Soren reached out for the charm, it looked like a bracelet of jewels. He put it around his wrist and, he saw.

He saw the house, it was huge compared to his place. Did anyone else live there? Did they live by themselves? Would he be a slave? He didn't know, but the creature did. They opened the door with a small key, when it opened the hallway was bright and colorful, full of flowers.

The smell was fine, it smelled old, and wet. The creature stepped in first, using hand movement to shoo the rabbit in. Reluctantly, the rabbit stepped inside. He started to look around the place, not going far from the creature itself.

"You can look around if you want, you'll be staying here for a while anyways. I'll be taking your bag, it'll be in the room you'll be staying in"

Soren nodded, gave them his bag and started to walk towards the first doorway, he looked and saw that it was the living room, connected to the kitchen. A few more looks around and he found the bathroom, the bedrooms, the storage closet, a balcony, an attic. And the basement, he didn't want to step anywhere near the basement, it felt wrong in some way. Maybe he'd find something he would never be able to erase from his memory.

"Done yet?"

Came a voice from behind him, he jumped and ran under a nearby chair, he shook.

"Sorry to startle you, didn't mean to do that"

He opened his eyes, what? What was this person? Creature? It didn't look like a hybrid, more human, but it had wings. It looked like something from a child's made up fantasy. Fairy, it looked like a fairy. This couldn't be real right? He had to be dreaming.

"Come on stand up, I wanna get a good look at you"

Soren slowly got up from under the chair, he looked at the fairy, it was at least 2 inches smaller than him. He tilted his head to the side, was this really real? He's heard of people talking about mythical creatures, how they're out more than ever now since hybrids came into existence. He's read about them too, so this must be real.

"So what's up with you? You went mute after a spell?"

"Oh no, he just has a marking. I was hoping to see if it was a curse or not"

The creature walked in, they had a tray of fruit, fruit sounded good right now after that long walk. The creature went and held it out or Soren and he scarfed it down.

"Don't forget to chew"

Soren nodded, of course he knew to chew, he wasn't some kit anymore. He saw that he was being watched and went to go sit down somewhere else where he wouldn't be watched closely. He honestly just wanted this to be over and done with.

When he was done he saw that they were gone, he was alone. He went to wash his dish and went to one of the bedrooms and saw that his stuff was placed there. He made sure his books and stuff were still in there.

Get sat down in the bed and opened his book, he didn't realize he was nodding off until he was asleep with the book on his face. For now he would escape to dreamland and hope for a nice dream.

Tapping, he woke to the sound of tapping. He wanted to ignore it but it was persistent. Slowly he opened his eye, it was a hybrid. Hybrid deer he could see, how did he find the house? Did he stay there too and he just didn't meet him yet?

Soren sat up and stared wide eyed at the deer. The deer smiled and waved his hoofed hand, Soren waved back. The deer then opened up the window and jumping inside.

"Hi, the names Bruiser. What's your name?"

"Soren"

Soren, what a weird name. Nice to meet you"

He went in for a hug, which Soren quickly backed away from before the deer could get a  good grip in on him. He was friendly enough, but what if it was a trap. He didn't know him well enough.

"Aw, well then. I guess you're the one with a curse right? Lemme see how you got it"

Soren put his paw out, the marking was weirdly lighter this time. Was it always like that?

"Hmm, I guess it isn't a curse? Did the ladies check you and tell you"

He shook his head no.

"Oh okay, when they come back have them check it already. I think they come back around this time anyways"

The deer went over the window and hopped out.

"Well, I'll play with you later. I gotta go back home for dinner. Bye Soren"

Soren went and watched him run away, maybe he should get it checked out. Was it dinner already? What would be out for dinner right now back at home. He went to grab one of his books and read in the living room.

4 chapters in he heard the door open, the fairy was here with supplies for stuff. Soren decided that now would be a good time to ask her to check his mark. But when he saw her face he stopped, she looked angry. He didn't want to be more of a reason to make her mad.

When he went to go and step out the floor creaked loudly.

"Oh, sorry I forgot you were here with us. Come here, let's talk"

Soren went to sit next to her. After a while of her putting everything from the bag in their places she began. Minutes passed, he got to talking, she was nice. Then he asked if she could check his marking, she nodded and took a look. She started with a worried look, then Soren was worried. Was it really a curse? Then she had a look of relief, she sighed.

"What is it?" He asked, he didn't worry as much now, but he was still curious to know what it was.
