The road trip wasn't long for him, since they hit a bump and Soren went flying and hit his head, knocking him out. As he was drifting off into the pain he wondered if his Dad was ok without him, or if he really did know a way to find him. Then nothing, he felt like it had only been a minute until ice cold water was splashed on him.

"Wakey wakey stupid filthy animal"

Huh, it's been a while since he was called an animal. Soren felt like he was shocked awake, the bump on his head was pounding but he got up and out of the van. Almost intently his hands were slammed shut away by a pair of specialized cuffs, then he had an old bag over his head. He smelled pine, he was in a pine forest.

He wondered if his Dad could find him in all this. He was shoved to walk and he complied. Soren started thinking of what he would do at this moment, back home. He wanted to play with his sisters again, he wanted to read again. He wanted to go back home. He waited and waited, then he made a run for it.

He ran hard, but they caught him and he felt something biting him, was it a fellow hybrid? Was it a feral one? Why were they doing this to him. He screamed in pain and was dragged back to a trail type path. He started crying, his head was hit and hit again until he stopped, he was tired, he wanted to run away, he was screaming at himself to try again to please come back home.

But his body didn't answer back.

After a good 30 minutes they stopped and he heard a bang and a few muffled voices. He was then stood back up on his legs and was shoved forward again where he fell and immediately stood back up. His hood was taken off, he took a few seconds to adjust to the suns lighting and he looked around. He saw others in line, waiting.

He looked back and a gate was shut.

"Hope you like your temporary home for the time being. Don't die"

He waved, Soren stood in shock. They pushed a button and his cuffs snapped off and his paws were free again. He stretched them out and someone came from behind him. They had a lab coat on. They held out their hand and Soren didn't take it. They tisked and told him to follow them into the building and that they will be doing tests on him since he has an 'unnatural thing' in him.

Soren was hearing this and didn't respond, He didn't wanna respond. They reached a room and Soren was told to sit down, they asked a question. Then a few more, Soren stayed quiet.

"Guess you're an ignorant one"

"I'm not"

"So you do talk?"

Soren didn't say anything and looked away. They tried again, but this time they used force with a zap cane. Soren didn't want to talk, but was made to talk. Where did you get your power? What did the vendor look like? Is the forest still there? Does your family have this power too? The questions were endless, Soren was getting tired, so tired he almost knocked out to sleep, but the taser kept him up.

It was a few minutes, he felt like it was hours. Why was he so tired? Did they give him something in his sleep during the ride? They switched out the Scientist after a while and they started hurting him. He was bleeding and they did nothing, they just took samples and notes. Later they did patch him up since he was getting woozy. He hated this so much, he wanted to leave this god forsaken room.

He was then let out and pulled harshly to a courtyard type place, he ran off the moment they let go of his arm, off to a table that looked like they didn't eat meat since he couldn't either.

"So, they got you for what?" One said, looking up from a nearly empty plate.

"Magic"

"Same here bud"
