"It's a gift! I don't really have the ability to know what kind of gift though, so we have to wait for Diza to get here"

"Oh, that's a relief, I hope she gets here soon"

"Yeah, you hungry?"

Soren nods, Ozara starts to cut up fruits and vegetables while standing on a stool. Soren went and put his book back up into his bag. While walking back he saw that Diza was here, she saw him and waved, he waved back and gave a small weary smile.

When she walked in Soren asked for her to look at his mark, she said she would but in time,first she wanted some food. Ozawa called them in when she was finish preparing dinner. Ozawa and Diza starting talking, they spoke a different language from his. They kept looking at him like he wasn't there, he was starting to fear being there again.

He was the last to finish their dinner, before she left to her room Diza told Soren that when he got done he could come and knock on her door if he wanted to know what his gift was. Soren nodded, and went to wash his dish. When he went to knock on her door, he starting questioning if he really wanted to know what his gift was. He decided that knowing earlier was better then later. He knocked.

Diza opened the door, he stepped inside when she told him to sit. Diza took hold of his paw and inspected it. When she was done she gave a giggle.

"Well, your lucky I've seen your gift before. You can conduct a healing electricity, want me to explain?"

"Yes please"

Soren thought that the name was stupid, he didn't have any other names for it though.

"You can make electricity, but this is different. With normal electricity it makes heat and energy, yours doesn't. Instead of heat it causes a, healing property. Like this"

She placed her claw on his arm and scratched, he should've known this was a trap he jumped up but she quickly grabbed him back down.

"Calm down, I'm just showing you how it works"

She placed her claw on the claw mark and it started healing. It felt fine after a few seconds, when she let go he looked at where the injury was. It was gone, no sign of it ever happening like new.

"Sorry about that, but that's what your gift would've done to others. You need to know the set backs for this gift though if your not careful."

"If you do overuse your gift it will take a toll on your body, it'll make you tired and and take some of yourself away with it"

Sorens ears dropped, he made a mental notes on how his power would work if he ever found out how to use it in the first place. After a few minutes of Diza talking Soren told her that the information would be useful in the future and thank you for letting him stay.

He walked back to his room and laid in bed, thinking until he fell asleep.

When he woke up it was midday, he slept in. Understandable since he was up late into the night but still. He went downstairs and saw the deer boy rummaging through the fridge. Soren just decided that was the norm here, waking up to a hybrid eating food outta the fridge.

Bruiser snapped his head up out of the fridge and saw him.

"Hey, you're up late. So did the ladies check you?"

"Yeah"

"So tell me, gift or curse?"

"Gift"

"Cool, my dad has a gift too. So what's does yours do"

"It heals people"

He nodded, and went back to looking through the fridge and took out some berries. Soren took this as a way to the living room, took a better look at the layout this time. He saw shelves with books, a small table, the usual things found in a living room. They didn't have a television though.

He went to sit on the couch and think about life and his new found gift. Then something hit him, he turned around and saw Bruiser with berries in hoof.

What"

"Let's go, you've been here for a while now. You need fresh air"

It, didn't feel that long though. Was time different here? Who cares though, he wanted to stretch out his legs anyways. He got up and walked with him out the door. When he stepped out he felt like an invisible weight was lifted, the sun was out.

"Wanna come over to my house?"

"No, I don't wanna worry Diza or Ozara"

"Oh ok, let's play for a bit then"

He then ate all the berries in one go, he kinda coughed up a bit. Bruiser started with a game of tag, Soren was faster since he had the legs for jumping or running out of the way before he got tagged. Then a game of hitting the target, Soren was terrible at this, Bruiser however had almost perfect aim. In the middle of it Ozara came back and joined in.

When it was nearly sunset Bruiser had to go home. Soren and Ozara waved him goodbye. Soren asked her if she knew a way to 'awaken' his gift. She said that he could choose whether to wait for it or to have herself force it out, with caution that it would be better if Diza was here to help then doing it alone since it does take energy out of all the participants.

Soren said he would wait for Diza to come back. Ozara smiled and went inside, Soren went to lay out in the front lawn until he could see the stars or when Diza came back. Once he heard that Ozara was done with dinner he went inside. They ate and talked about their day, where Ozara went too, what Bruiser was doing.

He still waited, he went to sleep, she didn't come back. Ozara assured Soren that she did this sometimes, but she always does come back. Soren nodded, he could ask her to do this by herself, but he didn't want to hurt the only person that was taking care of him at the moment.

He'll wait. He would just busy himself with he books on the shelf.
