Two long weeks have passed since the day that Sebastian gave me that mysterious note at breakfast and it is now the eve of our wedding. He never did explain the reason as to why I wouldn't be able to walk for a week after having been or slept in his bed. For some reason it scares me, but at the same time it also excites me and piques my curiosity. Well, I guess that I shall find out tomorrow night.
I glance over at the ivory dress which is hanging on the door of my wardrobe, which is now empty bar my nightgown that I will wear tonight. All of my belongings have been moved into Sebastian's room, as that is where I shall be living after we return from our honeymoon. Images of his black fourposter bed flash through my mind and I collapse haphazardly onto my bed, letting out an exasperated sigh and wondering how he would make me be incapable of walking for a week.
My mind drifts off and I am only broken from my reverie by a swift knock from the door. Sitting up abruptly, I hurriedly straighten my dress and tidy my hair to seem presentable.
"Come in" I call out, brushing out the creases in my dress once more. The door opens slowly and Sebastian steps in, shutting it firmly after himself. The sound of the lock clicking shut emanates through the silent room as he turns to face me. His dark hair hangs over his face slightly as he steps towards me, before halting two feet in front of me. I feel my heart rate increase when he pulls his hair out of his face casually and stares at me.
"We need to talk" He speaks, suddenly cutting through the silent tension that had built between us. His voice is heavy with seriousness. I nod curtly and pat my hand on the spot next to me on the bed, gesturing for him to sit next to me. Sebastian complies and once he is situated gazes down at me with his beautiful maroon eyes, biting his bottom lip with his perfectly pearly white teeth.
"What is it, Sebastian?" I ask, impatience overtaking me. He blinks rapidly and quickly regathers himself, before clearing his throat authoritatively.
"After our formal wedding here at the manor I must take you to where I was created in hell as a demon and transform you into a demon. Then we shall have to have a demon wedding in which we will drink each others blood and I shall bed you" Sebastian finally speaks, reeling off all of this information in a monotonous and informative voice. I swallow nervously and drop my gaze to my lap, unable to respond as I ponder what he had said.
Suddenly, I feel his gloved hand in mine, causing me to glance up at him and smile shyly whilst my cheeks become heated at the thought of him bedding me. He smiles softly down at me and places a gentle, lingering kiss to the pale skin of my forehead; leaving me completely breathless.
"However, there is one thing that has to be done before the demon wedding ritual. A catch if you will..." Sebastian speaks but slowly trails off, biting his lip lightly and looking anywhere in the room but at me.
"Sebastian, what is it?" I ask, worry and uncertainty as clear in my voice as the blue summer sky outside of the window of which Sebastian is gazing out of vacantly. His head snaps towards me instantly and his crimson eyes glow as they watch me attentively, assessing me as he prepares his words. I see his Adam's apple shift in his throat as he swallows apprehensively.
"You can't be a virgin...."
