Chapter 2

I woke up bright and early this morning and organized all my belongings. I figured since it's gonna be a new school year I should change the vibe of my room. I rearranged my bed and my dresser and picked out my clothes for the day. Since I was the first person awake, I looked through my magazines until my mom woke up. Every morning we'd do yoga together. She believes it jumpstarts the body and keeps her rejuvenated. After yoga I'd do a few laps around the neighborhood.

"Good morning" I stated coming into the kitchen after my jog. I grabbed a hand towel and wiped the sweat off my forehead

"Go freshen up then sit down for breakfast" Sid asserted. He pulled out the chair next to his and motioned for me to sit.

"I'm not eating, but thank you" I wasn't hungry this morning for some reason but I'll get a snack later on

"Great, so now we're wasting food"

"I didn't ask for breakfast"

"Fine, then don't ask for dinner"

I looked over at my mom and saw her gaze was on the table. I rolled my eyes at Sid's antics. "Fine I won't".

"Send down your brother for breakfast"

"Alright." I said. I grabbed my towel and water bottle and went upstairs to my room. I changed my clothes quickly before going to talk to Johnny. I knocked twice on the door before he opened it.

"What do you want?"

"Sid said to come down for breakfast"

"I'm not hungry"

"He's gonna starve you too then"

"What are you talking about?"

"I told him I didn't ask for breakfast because I'm not hungry and he told not to ask for dinner then"

"He's crazy"

"A lunatic." I added. We both laughed before he was about to go back to doing whatever he was doing. "Oh wait! There's a party today at the beach. Are you going?"

"I have training today, but we'll see"

"Ok" I smiled and went back to my room. A few hours went by before I decided to get ready for the beach. Johnny had already left for the dojo and mom and Sid had gone somewhere, so it was just me. I changed into a red two piece bathing suit and wore a white knee length sundress over top of it. Once I was changed I called Susan to see if would be able to drive me

"Hey missy"

"Hi Susan! Are you going to the beach party?"

"Yup! Are you?"

"I was planning to, would you be able to give me a ride?"

"Oh of course! I will be there in half an hour"

"Ok great, thank you so much"

"No problem"

I sat in the living room and waited for the minutes to pass me by.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

"Hello?" I answered

"Hi, is this Jacqueline Lawrence's address?" The person asked. I could tell from the voice that it was Jenny from dance camp.

"Jenny it's me" I laughed

"Oh good! I'm so awkward on the phone, I never know what to say, but I have news!"

"Ooo do tell"

"My dad got promoted so he has to change job locations, so we moved to The Valley!" She cheered
