Hiroshi didn't know when he blacked out. Neither did the rest of his team. All he knew is that when he came back the cavalry battle was over and there was not a single headband in their team's possession.
They'd lost all their points.
They'd lost the event.
The four huddled in a group, disoriented and disheartened. Hiroshi closed his eyes as he put his hands together and pressed them to his mouth.
"What happened?"
"Before I knew it, we had zero points, and it was over..."
"Could it be punishment for taking the small one's points in such an indecent way?" Shiozaki asked.
"We had 2005 points," Hiroshi said, "We were in second place..."
"I can't accept this!" Tetsutetsu yelled, grabbing his hair.
"I hate this," Honenuki said, "But I guess we just have to move on."
Hiroshi sighed, dropping his arms to his sides. He looked up at this group when he saw Shoto staring at him again. He would go talk to him but he would much rather sulk with his friends.
"Hey guys."
The four looked over to see Rin, Shishida, Tokage, Kendo and Yanagai.
"Hi," Honenuki said, not bothering to try to sound cheerful.
"What happened with you guys back there?" Kendo asked, "You were doing great and then..."
The other nodded.
"Yeah, it looked like you just gave your headbands to that general studies kid," Tokage said.
"We what?" Hiroshi said. He looked to his team but they didn't seem to know what Tokage was talking about.
"From where we were, it seemed like you willingly gave the boy your headbands," Shishida said.
"You didn't even put up a fight," Rin said.
"We all blacked out," Honenuki said.
"We don't even remember what happened!" Tetsutetsu said.
Shiozaki suddenly gasped. "It happened right after the boy came up to us. It must have been his quirk!"
"Are you kidding me!" Tetsutetsu yelled, throwing his hands into the air. Hiroshi groaned.
"God, that's so smart," he said, his hands over his eyes, "He probably waited until the end so that he could hypnotise us or whatever and then win without a single fight!"
"His name was Shinsou, I think," Yanagi spoke quietly, "His team came second. He's quite spooky."
"Wasn't Shoda on his team?"
"Didn't know Shoda knew any gen ed kids."
"Well, whatever team Shinsou did, they deserve the win so we just have to move on," Honenuki said, still very bummed out.
"Well no use sulking now," Tokage said, wrapping her arms around Hiroshi and Yanagi's shoulders. Hiroshi flinched but hoped no one would notice. "At least we can spend the rest of the day stress free."
"Thanks Tokage," Hiroshi said, awkwardly moving away from her. She looked at him before turning back to the group and leading them all out of the stadium. Shoda and Kendo may have been the class representatives but Tokage was quickly shaping up to be class B's leader.
The group left the stadium, going to eat lunch. They met up with the rest of their class. They were overall disappointed by the cavalry results but were still fairly happy with their performances. Not to mention Shoda had gone through to the last round.
