Everyone ran onto the field. Eleven teams, forty two students, all with one target in mind. The ten million point headband on Izuku Midoriya's head.
"It's basically just a fight for the ten million!" Tetsutetsu yelled. Midoriya looked to his group, telling them to run. "We won't let you!"
Honenuki softened the ground, making team Midoriya sink. Shiozaki raised a vine, prepared to steal the headband when the group suddenly shot into the air.
"What, they flew!"
"They've got support gear."
Hiroshi frowned, summoning a fireball and shooting it at them. It missed.
"Let's follow them!" Tetsutetsu yelled. Team Midoriya landed as they charged at them. Suddenly, a long pink thing shot past Midoriya and straight at Hiroshi's head. He ducked as Shiozaki flicked it away with her vines.
"What the-" Hiroshi said as purple balls flew past team Midoriya and at them. Hiroshi froze and blasted them away as Shiozaki hit them but they stuck to her vines like glue.
"We should get out of here," Honenuki said, "Go for someone else."
"Yes please," Shiozaki said, trying to get the balls out of her hair. Tetsutetsu frowned but got them out of firing range when something came up on their left.
"Shiozaki!" Hiroshi called. The girl's eyes widened as she quickly blocked Kodai's attack.
"Slash!" Fukidashi yelled. Shiozaki's vines were suddenly sliced off, giving an opening for Kojiro to spray the group with glue. It landed on them, hardening. Hiroshi froze what he could before breaking it off his body as Honenuki melted the rest away.
Kodai went to snatch at the head band at Hiroshi's head but Tetsutetsu quickly turned his arm to steel and punched Kojiro in the gut, making him jerk. Kodai missed her shot and Hiroshi set off a small burst of flames in her face. Shiozaki took the opportunity to steal the headband off her head as the four ran away.
"Here," she said, placing the band around Hiroshi's neck. The boy thanked her quietly.
"How much is that?" Honenuki asked.
"150, so we've got 885 total," Hiroshi replied.
"We still need to get the ten million," Tetsutetsu said.
"We'll get it."
"Shiozaki, on our left," Honenuki said, "The boy with the arms."
The group looked to see the team that had attacked team Midoriya just before. Well, they could only see one of them. A tall boy with multiple arms, shielding his teammates inside.
Shiozaki looked away, a single vine quietly slipping past the shield of arms before coming out again with a headband on it. The four then walked away, Hiroshi and Tetsutetsu trying not to smile.
"405," Hiroshi said, "that makes 1290."
"Now, let's take a look at each team's points..." Present Mic's voice came over the loudspeakers. Hiroshi didn't dare look away from the event but kept an ear out. "It's been seven minutes. Here are the current rankings on screen! Huh, it's kinda... Wait a minute, other than team Midoriya, class A isn't doing to well."
Hiroshi raised an eyebrow, sparing a glance to the board. First was team Midoriya, then Monoma, his team, Kendo, Shoto and Rin. Other than that, every other team had zero points. Hiroshi had to grin.
"Present Mic's quite biased," Honenuki said.
"Stop the biased commentary!" Hiroshi grinned, shaking his fist in the air.
"Oh dear," Shiozaki suddenly deadpanned, "Monoma's telling team Bakugou about his plan."
The four looked over to team Monoma as they jogged. His team stood still, Monoma smirking at a fuming Bakugou. But Hiroshi became distracted by the team he saw behind them.
"Hey, we should attack them next," he said, pointing past their classmate's class.
"We're entering the second half of the cavalry battles!" Present Mic announced.
Team Himura looked to each other, determination sparking in their eyes. They looked back and ran towards teams Midoriya and Todoroki.
Suddenly, electricity shot from team Todoroki.
"Shiozaki!"
Vines shot around team Himura, protecting them from the volts. They heard everyone yelling around them as they were electrocuted. The four tried to keep moving forward but they were frozen to the ground.
Honenuki quickly softened the ice, letting it practically melt off them. They pushed forward, Shiozaki clearing her vines as the electricity dissipated. Looking around them, they saw that teams Kendo, Rin and two class A teams had been frozen to the ground.
"Get Rin and Kendo!" Hiroshi said. Shiozaki used her vines to snatch Rin's headband while they ran for Kendo but Shoto's team seemed to have the same idea. "Quick! To Kendo!"
Hiroshi grabbed the headband from around Kendo's head while Shiozaki took the ones around her neck. Time seemed to slow as Shoto's hand grabbed at thin air. A smirk grew on Hiroshi's lips as the boy looked at him.
"I'll be taking those now, Shoto Todoroki."
Shoto's eyes widened as his mind blanked but Hiroshi's team was already gone, running after team Midoriya. Shoto cursed under his breath when Iida yelled out.
"He took our headbands!"
Shoto looked down to see that only one headband was left around his neck. Even the one from his head was gone. He frowned, glaring at the group ahead of them.
"We have to move," he instructed, his voice harsher than usual. They quickly caught up, Shoto attempting to freeze them to the ground but Honenuki simply softened it. Yaoyarozu grew a metal pole from her side but Tetsutetsu hit it away like it was nothing.
Hiroshi glared at Shoto. He'd noticed he wasn't using his fire at all so he concentrated, holding up his arm by the wrist. He aimed for his right and shot a white fireball directly at them. Shoto flicked his arm, bringing up a wall of ice but he wasn't fast enough. The group was blasted back.
Shoto frowned, ice sticking to his left arm. "Get away from them," Shoto said to his group, "Go for Midoriya." And, with a strong stroke of his arm, a barrier of ice came up between team Todoroki and Himura.
Tetsutetsu cursed.
"We'll just go through," Hiroshi said. His team nodded, Honenuki going to soften the ice when-
"Hey Himura!"
"Huh-"
