When Hiroshi woke up in Recovery Girl's room, he was hit with an overwhelming sense of frustration. He'd lost. Shit, he'd lost. He frowned, covering his eyes with his arm.

Looking at himself, he realised Recovery Girl had already healed most of his injuries. Since he was unconscious and had no upcoming battles, she was able to heal more than usual. His heatstroke was completely healed, along with his ice burns and ripped skin. She'd also healed all the little cuts ect. Unfortunately his frostbite wasn't completely healed, meaning he had to wear gauze bandages around his arms for a few days at most.

"Now," Recovery Girl said, rubbing her hands together, "You have to be more careful. You know your body's limits, try to not go beyond them. Frostbite in the same places over and over again is going to someday leave them permanently damaged." Hiroshi nodded but wasn't really paying attention. He knew where he went wrong. Recovery Girl sighed. "You put up a good fight. Now stop moping around."

Hiroshi looked up at her, giving a shrug. She quickly checked over him again before finally letting the boy go with a blanket to keep warm.

He took his time walking back to his classmates. He didn't want to see them just yet. He found a secluded area of the stadium, resting his forehead against the wall. The crowd's noise felt like a million miles away yet he could still feel their eyes. Their prying eyes.

God, that was an embarrassing fight.

Slowly, the boy composed himself before returning to his class.

"Guys, Himura's back!"

"Holy shit, dude!"

"Ugh, you were so close to beating Todoroki. You fought so well!"

Hiroshi couldn't help but smile, a warm feeling growing in his chest. "Thanks, guys. It was nothing, really," he said, scratching his jaw. He still wasn't used to the attention his classmates gave him.

"It's not nothing!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed, tears streaming down his face as he grabbed Hiroshi's shirt, "You fought so hard out there! You'll beat that Todoroki next time!"

"You and Tetsutetsu really let our class shine out there!" Kendo said.

Hiroshi looked down as he moved to take his seat in between Kodai and Honenuki. "Thanks guys," he said. Still, despite the warm feeling in his chest, that nagging disappointment persisted.

"Himura," Honenuki said, "Hey, don't beat yourself up over this. You gave it your all out there. Everyone saw that. You don't need to win, you proved yourself enough."

Hiroshi paused, unsure of how to react to Honenuki. A smile broke out on his face and the back of his eyes stung. He gently - and awkwardly - punched the other boy's shoulder.

"Thanks man," he said, "that... that means a lot."

Honenuki nodded, his eyes going back to the match.

"It's the last battle of the U.A. High Sports Festival!" Present Mic's voice blasted through the speakers as the crowds screamed. "The top of the first year students will be decided with one match! The final, so to speak." Shoto and Bakugou's faces were displayed on screen. "From the hero course, Shoto Todoroki! Versus- Also from the hero course, Katsuki Bakugou! Now, START!"

Shoto's attack was instant. Ice shot at Bakugou, surrounding the boy. It reminded everyone of the attack he used on Sero, but much smaller.

"Todoroki gets the blow right away!"

The audience was silent for a moment. It was quiet at first but hey could hear it. Explosion after explosion after explosion. Bakugou was breaking out of the ice.
