Episode 8: Awakening

While the four of them were traveling across the Viridian City to claim their first gym badge, (except for Misty) Meowth and Jessie is secretly following them. Only Ash knows that they were being followed while the three of his companions don't.

After several minutes of traveling, Ash and the group arrived at the main door of the Gym.

Ash - Here we are, Viridian City Gym.

James - For sure, I thought we will be lost at the forest.

Ash - Don't worry about that. I can locate any place with ease. Just let me know and I'll locate it with my GPS installed in my pokédex.

Leaf - How come you have GPS in your pokédex?

Ash - I installed it. How? Using Magic of course.

James - I see.

Ash - Now is the time that I need to uncover that we are being followed.

Somewhere inside on the bushes

Meowth - What?! That twerp can sense us?

Ash - No more hiding, come out now or I'll force the two of you.

Jessie and Meowth came out on the bushes.

Leaf - Hey, I know those two. She said suspiciously.

Ash - Yeah. We all do. Stay right here. I'm going to confront them.

Ash walked to them and said,

Ash - Can someone tell to me why are you following us? We are about to enter the gym until I decided to uncover you.

Meowth - We are here to know how is James doing.

Ash - Are you sure? From what I can observe, you two still have some motives and I don't like it. Just to let you know, James there changed for good and there is nothing you can do about it.

They flinched as they heard Ash's statement.

Jessie - Alright, alright. We're sorry. Sorry for stealing your Pikachu and that pokémon.

Ash - Oh? You mean her?

Ash grabbed a pokéball and toss it into the air. As the pokéball opened, Mew came out.

Meowth and Jessie went their mouth wide-open as they witness Mew is now being possessed by a pokémon trainer.

Meowth - How did you caught her?

Ash - Correction. I didn't caught her. It was her choice to join with me.

Since the place was crowded, many people were looking at Mew.

Random trainer - Wait, how did he caught that pokémon?!

Several rumors began to spread out across the city as they witness Mew.

Ash - Oh. Oopsie. Why did I call you in the middle of the city? Ah, nevermind. They will regret anyway when they try to steal you. Now, I don't care about the others eyeing on her, just say your apologies to her quickly.

Meowth - We are humbly asking for your forgiveness, Mew. It will be much appreciated if you accept our apologies. He said with utmost respect.

Mew - Alright. I accept. Just promise to us that the two of you will quit the organization for good.

Jessie - Yes, Mew. Since the gym leader there at that gym is our leader. We are just following orders from him. Nothing more, nothing less.

Meowth - Jessie is right, Mew.
