"Andrea c'mon! You are the one who brought your behind to Chicago in the first place!" I whined as I grabbed at Andrea's hand. She let out a displeased groan as she came to stand stomping her foot begrudgingly. I glared as she stood up with her lips poked out from her gorgeous face structure she copied straight from her father- that wasn't saying much though because she was almost a spitting image of Uncle Marcus in her looks and personality. Just prettier and a lot more spoiled.
"I came here to chill with some of my faves because my twin won't pay attention to me!"
"Your twin is taking her mock MCAT tomorrow?" I asked bewildered. She was honest to God serious in her every word, and it blew my mind.
"I don't get why she has to go to medical school. She doesn't need that money! She needs to be making sure her other half doesn't die from neglect. What about Andrea?" She complained clapping her hands dramatically at the end as she bent at the waist irate.
My mouth opened once and then closed into a tight line as I tried to find the words as she stood staring at me. She had a hundred cousins on a whim that she could go bother and annoy at anytime. Her and Josie were attached at the hip, and I understood that, but her taking only a few days to prepare and do her best on something that could start to change her life and help her achieve her dreams, Andrea knew she could handle. She was being downright crazy and there was no way she didn't know that.
"Dre-" I started but she was quick to cut me off at the knees.
"Nah, don't Dre me. Because when you Dre me that means you are going to try and get all philosophical and if I wanted that I would've stayed with Naz," She argued, forcing me to take a deep breath to keep myself from bursting out laughing. Now if that laughter was going to be out of sure amusement at her right assessment of Naz or a coping mechanism because I fail to understand how I've made it this far having to be the oldest of....this...is another question entirely. This conversation wouldn't have been so absolutely tragic if it had not been so serious.
"Babe, me telling you that your twin needing to study for one weekend isn't going to kill you."
"Where was this energy when Stef was studying for his business school admissions test?" She resorted with her hands on her hips, and alas I glared as my arms folded across my chest.
"That was different."
"Tell me how!"
"Because I'm the center of the damn universe and that boy knew better, "I argued simply because it was the truth. Stefano Katrell was many things but when it came to school and the books he gave me a run for my freaking money. He was a tried and true computer brain, but because of that I knew he didn't need all the time he claimed to have needed to do his GRE exams and other app it use test. I was straight up abandoned unjustly so I had the grounds to clown. She did not.
