Madeline's POV

"Fine! But if I fall I'm pulling your goddamn hair!"

"Seems fair,"

Espresso hopped on my back and laid his head in the crook of my neck. Espresso slowly started to drift off.

I told him he needed more sleep...!

While Espresso was on my back, I looked around my surroundings. After a few minutes, I turned to see Espresso's face. His glasses were on the verge of falling off his face. I paused and took them off. I put them in the pockets of my winter coat. I chuckled to myself and continued to the dorms.

I came to a stop at my dorm room. Not wanting to wake up Espresso, I quietly opened the door. In the hallway between my and Sparkling's room, Sparkling's head popped off his room.

"Oh! I see! Well, did you a least get the packs?"

Shit!

"Ack! I forgot about them. Sorry.."

"It's fine, I gotta go to the bar in a few anyways,"

I  set Espresso on my bed. I covered him with blankets and left him to rest. I take off my boots and jacket and sat right beside Espresso. I took his glasses out of my jacket and set them on the nightstand next to him.

I sat next to him and rubbed his head. I wanted to lay next to him so badly, but I need to study for that big project. I got up a lay at my desk. Opening up books, for me to conform to thousands of pages of science. Groaning in discomfort, I started to read the first pages of the book.

After jotting down notes with side doodles on the side, I checked the book page.
Page 20?! It's been two hours?!

I decided to take the time to check on Espresso. He was still knocked to sleep.

Wonder what he meant by he was alone during the holiday?

I shook the question off and just went back to studying. After an hour, I started to feel a little warm and hazy.

It's probably nothing...

Espresso's POV
I woke up once again in Madeleine's dorm room.

How does this keep happening?!

I look to the right and saw my glasses on the nightstand next to me. Took them and cleaned them off. I placed them on my face and twisted my head to the left. I saw Madeleine, laying on a desk. His face had a sickly expression on his face.

God...Is he sick?!
I got up and stood over Madeline. I put my hand over his head. He's for sure sick...

Wait...What's today? Crap! It's Monday!

It was a little too late to get to class, let alone that Madeleine was possibly sick. I shook Madeleine's shoulder. He started to groan and raised his head.

"Hm~Essy?"
"Yes?"
"I don't feel good,"
"Well, yeah you do have a fever,"

Madeline got up and lay on my shoulder.

"Get off me, you might get me sick-"
"At least take care of me, please?"
"Why not Sparkling? He's your roommate,"
"I just want you, darling, ~"

My face flushed when Madeline said "darling~" I don't know why it did, it shouldn't. I stutter silently to myself till I agreed to take care of the blond himbo.
"Fine! But you get me sick I swear, you will lose a limb,"
"Thank you, Darling!"
"Ye-yeah whatever,"

Soon after, Madeline fell asleep on the bed. I left him alone and closed the door. I sat down on the couch, sighed, and started to daydream.
"Hey Espresso,"
I snapped my head toward the door. It was Sparkling at the door.
"Hi,"
"Hey,"
"Where's Maddie?"
"Sick, in his room. I don't know how?"
"That winter breeze is probably what caused it. When I went out to the bar last night, it was freezing..."
"You should go, I can take care of him,"
"You're sure?"
"Yeah,"
"Alright see ya,"
I walked over to my dorm, and as I started to walk down the hallways I started to fumble with my brain...

I should just get that himbo something to eat ... since I promised to care for him while he's sick. But, not in these clothes...

After changing, I head back to the small shop I was in yesterday. Pushing the door open I hear the sound of jingle bells ringing in my ears.

"Back again Espresso?"

"Yes,"

"Just call me if you need me!"

"Thanks,"
