What feels most precious to me is that I live on this planet,
I have things that I need in order to sufficently stay alive,
I have a place to call my home,
However with my graditude and appreciation it can only take us but so far.
Living here isn't enough to say the least,
What is important is that we treat the place we live as if it were our bodies,
Would you want someone to throw disgusting trash all over you?
Would you want someone to throw toxic waste inside you?
To think of it in others ways picture your house,
Would you want someone to call construction workers to your house and have them tear it down?
Would you even think of allowing someone to dump waste in your clean, drinking water?
If you answered no to any of these questions then you're the beginning to a better ending.
So here's an idea,
Turn off your lights when you aren't using them,
Turn off your water too because we only have but so many resources,
Lay off the tons of hours of TV because I'm sure there's more exciting things going on in the world that you have yet to see.
Learn to have an apprecitation because one day there may be nothing to appreciate,
We have to be grateful for what we have,
We have to make a difference even if the chances seem grim,
We have to paint the picture of Earth that we would like to see.
