Music echoed through the club the sound of a hundred thundering heart beats drum against my ears. It had been years since I’d set foot in a place with this many warm bodies. Except back then it had been many brothels with less than desirable young women. Coming here would all be worth it to find her. Harmony was in this town somewhere my American vampires had given that knowledge. Her royal blood scented the air everywhere her little plane landed. I doubt she was aware of uproar she has caused in the states.
By chance I knew my love would come here. She craved adventure and excitement this place would not be far from her thoughts. Haven was the talk of the town. A smile graced my lips as I lounged in the leather couch of the VIP section. The walls were surrounded by bullet proof glass and black railing. The place was nearly sound proof and air tight. Only the strong could feel my presence within the club or my scent. Vampires swarmed around the section sneaking glances at my lounging form. My eyes ran down the volumptious legs of my dear friend Kaden.
Her eyes smiled when her plump lips did not. Her dark black locks flowed down her back as she set her angular jaw. She began her slow journey in my directions as a human set down my glass of blood. The servant woman's scent mixed with the scent of my truant wife. I sated myself by taking in the woman's scent a bit longer than necessary. “The king.” A whisper broke my concentration.
As much as the American covens loved to be emancipated it was amazing their affections toward any royal. My cell phone vibrated in my pocket. It would be Elizabeth calling as she did an hour before to check in on my condition.
A dry chuckle escaped me; when did she start to care anything about Harmony? Her actions were questionable the last few hours. I held the tiny device in my hands deciding whether to answer. “Hello, Lancelot.” Her smooth voice whispered. “Good evening mother.” I greeted. I swirled the contents of my drink in my hand. “Have you found Harmony yet?” “I believe I have.” “That is good my son I ask that both of you be safe.” Without much else to say she hung up. Safe? A questionable word to mention at a time such as this.
Questionable words indeed when I left the kingdom in my father's hands. I would be alright traveling alone as well as my beloved Harmony. She seemed more than displeased at the decision for my father to rule even if it was only a short period of time.
I slid my phone into the confines of my pockets my fingers wrapping around my box of cigarettes. Harmony entered the club I could feel her presence as did the vampires of the VIP section. She barely hid her presence in the club making it slightly easier to detect. A rather stupid move for my beauty, but naivety was not her strong suit. I stood making my way over to the glass.
I stood over the railing watching the bodies of humans dance my eyes searched the crowd. There in an ivory colored shirt and a tightest skirt she has ever worn was my beloved mate. She entered the club with two men following her. My hands gripped the railing; it was the only thing keeping me rooted to the section.
Her beauty left me breathless in seconds her beautiful grey eyes searching the crowd. I longed for eyes to glance upward giving me full view of her beautiful eyes. Her hair was curled upwards giving her a sexy sporty look. I would miss her long hair it made her undeniably cute. Her brown flawless skin illuminated by the strobe lights. Her sweet shapely legs and thighs going all the way up to her waist the sight was enough to make any man go insane.
My fangs released as I lusted for the woman. I pressed myself against the metal railing once more trying to contain myself. I relinquished myself from the throne for a reason. Obviously my love was unhappy about something. There was nothing standing in our way anymore. The wolf was long since exterminated by my power.
Her running would only lead to more heart break as she separated herself from me. I was her other half as she was mine. She cared for me and that was no wild delusion of mine. My love was a tortured soul; I could feel her pain as bright as day. Harmony was a fool to think I could not see pass her willful gazes. If she did not like being the queen I would not make her take the responsibility. If she would let me I would follow her in running away.
I only wanted to be with her otherwise nothing else matters. "Your highness, it is a pleasure to meet you here." Kaden purred. She stood beside the railing her icy blue eyes meeting mine. “The pleasure is all mine Ms. Vishcov.” I greeted taking her small hand in my own. I kissed it the scent of Chanel caressing my nose.
"The vampire community is in an uproar over the visit of the Queen.” "Yes, she preceded the trip after a disagreement." I chuckled. She politely laughed moving her hair from her shoulder. “I do hope the both of you make up during your stay.” “I am planning on making up very soon, thank you for your concern.” I smiled staring down one last time at my beautiful queen.
