Jean had always hated how normal and boring her life was. Nothing exciting ever happened. Her parents were always paranoid and over-protective of her. They wouldn't let her do anything fun.
She had friends, a good life, good grades. She just felt that he life could be more... Fulfilling.
It seemed like everyone in her high school already had cars, jobs, and boyfriends. Her parents thought everything was dangerous.
Jean knew they were just looking out for her and they didn't want her to get hurt (physically and mentally) but she really felt like she was missing out on life.
She just wished she could experience something exciting for once.
