(Another long chapter :v)

As the man took off her blindfold, Jean knew she was about to see the face of a killer. She imagined a dirty, rugged face.

However when the blindfold did come off, the man's face was not visible. It was covered by a clown mask. The man sighed. "Now, I know what you're thinking, 'Na-" Jean cleared her throat. The man seemed a bit offended. "I... Have no idea who you are. Maybe, if you took off that ma-" The man had already started taking it off. Jean's jaw dropped. "Um... Hello..!"

Jean was in utter shock. The room was silent for a good minute. The man in front of her, was her ex-boyfriend.

"NATHAN CARTER?! YOU-" Nathan put his hand on her mouth. "Shh! I know this is really sudden and absolutely mind boggling but you need to be quiet for a sec." He listened for noise as he kept his hand on Jean's mouth.

After a few minutes, it was clear that whatever Nathan heard, must have not been important. He shrugged and slowly took his hand off Jean's mouth. "Okay... I know you're probably very very very mad at me for kind of, well... You know." He made a throat slitting gesture. "B-but you gotta believe me that I did not intend to kill them, well at least not so soon..."

Jean sighed. "Can you at least untie me from this chair?" Nathan nodded firmly and grabbed a random pair of scissors from his back pocket and proceeded to cut the restraints around her wrists and ankles.

Jean stood up from the chair she had been in for atleast a few hours, and the first thing she did, was slap Nathan across the face. "Ow!" He covered his cheek with his hand. "Can you please explain what you meant by 'not meaning to kill my parents so soon'?"
