The Plan

Jean was interrupted by an unreasonable loud Sicko Mode ringtone from Nathan's pocket. He quickly pulled out his phone and answered the call. As soon as he asked who it was, he started to look worried.

He listened to the caller silently for a minute or two. He slowly removed the phone from his ear. Jean could hear a man ask if Nathan was still there.

Jean looked at him with a bit of concern and confusion. He held the phone tightly, the window opened slowly. "Uh, Nathan?-" before she could finish her question, Nathan threw the phone out the window. As soon as it hit the concrete, he got back onto the road.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit!" Nathan murmured through clenched teeth. "What happened!? Who was that? Don't tell me it was-" The car made an ubrupt stop at a traffic light and Jean's head nearly hit the windshield. It took her a minute to regain her breathe before she immediately buckled. She turned to Nathan with disbelief. "Sorry..... And uh, turns out that the guy that told me to stalk you has my number and umm..."

Jean nearly unbuckled to strangle him. Traffic resumed and she tried to be calmer about what just happened. "How did they get your number?" Jean said, trying to be less angry at her stupid ex. "I-i don't know! I didn't even give them a phone number! They haven't even see my phone. How'd they know I even had a phone?!" Nathan looked like his brain was about to explode under the pressure.

"What did he say? Can you at least tell me what he told you?" Nathan sighed, his grip on the wheel tightened. "It wasn't anything important. He may have sent some other guys to to look for the bodies in our trunk but that's okay..!" Jean started to panic. "HE WHAT?!" Nathan started to break.

"I-it's fine..! We can just uhhh..... FUCK! WHAT DO WE DO JEAN?!" He sounded like he was about to cry. Jean tried to help. "Umm... We could hide the bodies before they get to us..?" Nathan's mood immediately changed. "Good idea, and I know just where to hide them!" Jean looked at him with disgust.

"That's really weird."

"I know!"
