Jean was walking home from school again, for the 200th time. She was getting tired of not having a car. She felt like everyone driving by was mocking her.
She stared down at her phone, trying to ingore the world. Jean was suprised her parents even let her have a phone. She stared at the screen as she walked, wondering if her parents would eventually realize how wrong they were.
The screeching of tires filled Jeans ears as a white coupe stopped a few inches away from her. Her heart definitely stopped beating for a second. She walked out of the way and the car drove off.
