When we went back to camp, the noises, I could hear it all. Not just the forest, but the hollow tone of a great voice humming as she goes about her work. It's not especially loud, but I hear her when the forest settles into silence.

Mo'at describes it as "The song of a great weaver at the loom." Which I think is beautiful land accurate. But we need to know if I can hear her for at least a few days without her voice fading on a day when she can be heard.

Tsu'tey greeted us briefly before reviewing with the elders and advisors, the plan for scouting out a place to stay, hopefully as a new home. He says he'll tell me our options once the scouting parties had been dispersed. I know that the south and west are too dense with clans for us to settle, north, the plains and great seas are no home for us, so the only way to search is through them, and east.

Last meal was happening and Rìni wasn't in sight. So I went to look for her, to no avail. And so I went to the nearest spiritual tree, the tree of souls.
—————————
I climbed my way down the caldera walls to find my friend and sister in prayer. I find it distasteful to interrupt a conversation, so I wait. Txo'nari ended up getting impatient and started circling around in the sky out of boredom. She likes to be active, but lately, we haven't had to fly a lot.

When Rìni pulled herself from prayer, I made my presence known through a hand on her shoulder. I got to her level, and sat with her. We shared a silence for a while before she spoke.

"I am so upset. Your kind came to this world and ripped away all of my loved ones, and my only loved one left is you. The worst part is, I'm too exhausted to be angry." She was defeated.

"If it's any comfort, which I'm sure it's not, I know how you feel." She let me speak, "my parents both died when I was young, I don't remember it now. I stayed with my grandparents, who raised me, and they died too." Their urns lay heavy on my neck.

"How am I supposed to get over this loss?"

"You don't, the pain will always be there, one way or another. But it gets easier. For you, and all Na'vi, you get to see them, hear them, interact with them. I didn't. So, you live with it."

It wasn't very inspiring, but we had both become stronger from our shared loss. Tangek, was a brother and friend. I know he had feelings for me and tried to disguise it as brotherly love, but now that I look back on the days we'd hang out, it was so clear. Of course, I didn't feel the same way, I still don't.

And I love Tsu'tey. But right now, we need to navigate our lives as a clan, and as individuals. I need to know my place in this clan before I settle in, and I can't settle in until we find a permanent home.
—————————————
Tsu'tey had gathered the clan together to describe the places the scouts had found, that the left over scientists, newly dubbed "the Science and Technology Resources of Pandora" or STRP, have mapped out.

Neytiri made a rough painted copy of the map displaying the trees, the spiritual places, placement of water and food, and even the other clans.

"People, we have many places where we can make a new home. It is best that we all choose a place you think is best." He proceeded to place 5 pots of paint on the ground. You dip your finger in one of the colors that correspond with the location. It's surprisingly democratic. He listed off the locations in this order with these colors.

In a place called Teswotìng Txoa, there is one waterhole and a very large Bay Area that leads out to sea. The tree located there is tall and wide, big enough for the clan and then some. The nearest spiritual trees are less than 30 miles away and can be easily travelled to. The nearest clans are the Kekunan, Tawkami, and the 'Opi. The only one that might be dangerous are the 'Opi. The color is Red.

In Tsurokx Taronyu, there is a larger watering hole, with many many spiritual trees in the area, but we have to share those trees with the Ni'awve clan. The tree there, is almost as tall as the last, but it sits right at the water, so any flooding would result in a lot of damage to the clan. The clans surrounding it would be the Ni'awve and the Li'ona. Their color is blue.

In Ele'wll Na'ring, far north and west, across the plains, there's a great bay, and a spiritual tree, it's peaceful and seemingly calm. The tree there is identical to the one we used to occupy, and the clans around us are the Zelzawng, Autiretu, and Anurai to the north in the mountains across the bay. The clans there are foreign and unknown to us, besides the Anurai. The color is yellow.

In Spxa'eveng, not far from the plains, the tree of souls, and a smaller bay, a very large tree bigger than the one before, sits near the Olangi clan and the plains. Not close enough where we see them, but close enough to travel less than a day. There is a small gathering of spiritual trees near the border of Ramunong Vawm, a large collection of floating islands. The surrounding clans are the payokoak, Olangi, Autiretu, Kxitxakum, and Viräkoum. All but the Autiretu and the Kxitxakum are known to be peaceful. The color is pink.

In Pamtseotu Loran, there is a tree that sits between mountains at the lip of a valley, with a system of caverns carved out by former seismic activity, and the valley is filled with animals and resources to make food and medicines. The caverns open up to the ocean, and the valley is also facing that way. It's naturally protected and it's very large. The nearest spiritual trees are shared by the Tayrangi, but we have very good relations with that cliff dwelling clan. The surrounding clans we know are the Tayrangi, Tawtsena, and Vayaho. The ones we don't are the Anìheyu, Ikutsngal, and the Nongolo'. Scouts met the clans, and described them as different, but friendly. The color is white.

This is one of those "comment on the one you want" or "comment the color in the chat" I'm going to tally it all up after we reach a certain limit, and if we don't reach enthralled limit by the time I'd hope we would, I'll just tally it anyway and add randomized answers via a spinning wheel.

So which ever place sounds safest, best, and most interesting to you, comment the corresponding color, and in about a month or so, maybe less depending on the votes I get, I'll tally your votes and mark on this little map I have going in my head, which place will be our new home.

If you have questions, please feel free to ask, and please interact with this chapter in particular.

The slower the votes, the slower I'm going to have to wait to get you a chapter out. Thank you!
