He loved her dearly and didn't want her to go.So he asked for the Witch to put on a show.
What sort of dastardly deeds do you desire from me?
A simple jest in the chest, so I'd suffer from injury.
What sort of inner sensation do you want her to know?
A little compassion, if that's what it takes for our love to grow.
She fell for it indeed. Her heart swayed by his greed.
Then slowly did she wither, wanting him to leave her.
Why did you come to me and ask for the sky to glow?
Because your talents were relayed to me, by the squawk of your crow.
Be honest with me; my price is heavy.
I seek to lift her woe. For her interest I'd go back and forth and to and fro;
If that's what it takes for the world to snow.
She loved the cold. So too did she love gold.
Then came a man filled with it tenfold.
Our contract is over. Get back to your tower!
But I have no tower, of which you speak.
But you're locked to a prisoner, a love that is bleak.
But it's blooming by the hour, so please grant me your power!
If that's what it takes for your love to flow;
Come back; you cannot return without her in tow.
She met the man quite late. Then came back in a great state.
So it threw her off weight when she learned of his fate.
You're now rotten to the core, so what more do you need?
He's not here anymore, but listen to my plead;
She tumbles to my bed but he keeps me awake!
So that's what it takes for you to see your mistake.
Can't you do anything? Can't you make it right?
That I can promise you. For I usually help two.
When winter melts into spring, you'll wake up a little light.
Time will reverse, and your deeds will vanish from sight.
You won't know she asked this of me; in the dead of night
Soon you'd rest in delight while your house was set alight.
Then she'll wake up from slumber and return to that summer break.
If that's what it takes for her to see him warm and awake.
